New to the Prelude family

I already nicknamed my Prelude "LUDA".

It's a 97 SH with 160k miles and a few problems. I plan to use it throughout the winter and whenever I want to drive into Philly, which is pretty frequent.

I definitely want to change the tint since the one on there now is turning purple (or maybe it was purple?). I'll get a new shift knob for sure, but besides that I don't want to spend any money on the car besides maintenance. I only plan on driving the car 4000 miles a year.

Here are some pics! It's kind of beat, but to me it's clean for it's age. I really like how it drives. One thing I am not sure about is it has a vibration coming from the rear driver's side when I'm going above 80mph.

And here's my primary car. I've had it for a year and a half now. 2008 Evo X GSR. Stock turbo right now making 352/346 at the wheels. It has JUN Stage 2R cams titanium springs and retainers, so I redline at 8000. Nearly all the parts are JDM (Varis, JUN, Tomei, Colt Speed, Volk, HKS, etc.) Going for 550WHP this winter.

Nice looking lude, and based on that evo, i doubt your not going to sink any money into the lude.

Nice Evo. I'd prefer a 2006 MR, but that's nice too. :)

Yeah I'm on TSE along with evom and evoxforums.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I love my Evo. It's going to be a 550WHP beast by next spring, which is a big reason why I bought LUDA.

Definitely sure about it. I can't justify spending money on a car that is worth less than my Volks.

Then I hope you never own a Nissan 240sx/Silvia...They're usually < $2,000; yet a simple SR20 swap and bolt-ons makes them a good contender in any race, especially drifting.

It's smarter than spending it on some dumb chick lol..

Since you won't drive it much it makes since not to mod it.. I dd my lude to keep miles low on the Z.. It's justified in my mind lol

And if you got the lude for the price of those volks then u got a good deal on the lude.. Or it's got high miles or something

Looks good though man.. You'll definitely be happy with the lude

Yes, leather seats! But the ones in the back are dry and cracking and the front driver seat has a rip in it. I don't care though.

Hahaha I am a Lude noob. Luckily I have a lot of friends who are into Hondas and they've offered to do all my installs/fixes and find me parts. I was going to spend $1000 to get these things fixed up, but now I'll be spending half of that.

So spend money on an intelligent woman

Volks were $3400. Lude was under $3000.

My first car was a 2007 Civic EX (R18). I've been on 8thcivic forever. I'm glad to be back in the Honda family! NA is a nice feeling.

Re: New to the Prelude family

So I did my first mod on the Lude last week

I got a sticker that says "My other car is a Evo and it will kick your ass!" hahaha.

I think I might get a few more stickers. I bought a used PS pump, so I'll have to get that in. My hood also won't completely shut. I look so ghetto every time I get out of it and sit on my hood to close it haha, but I love the car. I've hit vtec a couple of times and it's fun!

I ran over a dead deer in the Evo last week . My front lip is destroyed and my front bumper is broken. I've been driving the Prelude since then, and I love the fuel economy! I was filling up the Evo every 3 days whereas the Prelude lasts a little over a week. Same size fuel tank and 93 octane.

So I picked up this Varis front bumper a few days ago. It's usually a 4 month wait for this piece, but someone had it in North Jersey for sale because he was having financial issues or something. I also got a good deal! It's getting painted next week, and I'm ordering the canards for it.

And this is what it looks like with the canards and assembled

I love my Prelude, but the only money I'm spending on it is for maintenance. I thought about doing some nice sized MB Battles on it and getting the Mugen front end, but it has too many miles on it to be modding like that. I plan on buying an Audi when I finish my Evo.
