Got a bubble!

i toldja i was gettin a car nick!
93 EG hatch BUBBLE!

This is how the day started, A lonely hatch burried in Will's garage... Calling my name everytime i had driven past it....

Still had it's nifty hatch seats in it, hahaha that headrest still amazzes me, but those left quickly, gotta see if i can sell em?

Got the car home, this is alex going "Holy ****, we just got a hatch.... WHY DO WE HAVE A HATCH AND AN IROC?!?!"

Me hugging my bubble, no he wasn't really grabbing my ass, he's three feet in front of me, theres an optical illusion for ya!

Teggy camel seats are in, much more comfortable than the EG seats....

D15B7 16 VALVE, hahahaha pop can pistons, but i gotta drive it with the d15 for now, curious to know if i can put a b18 in?

d15b7 head etc.

sayin goodnight to the little hatch, she will truely be a nice car............ Someday

let me know what you think!

Re: Got a bubble!

Which b18 are u planning 2 put into it? A b18b1, b18c1 or b18c5? I can prolly help u find out what u need. Before my prelude all I was around was b-series. Lol oh and the b18b1 is a ls from a da9 or dc2 integra. B18c1 is from dc2 gsr's and b18c5 is the integra type r motor. Good luck on ur build man. I love eg hatches!!

and no, when i do the B18b1 swap its gonna go 5 speed.
gonna be a long road for this car, it's all about getting it to run at the moment.

Thats an ef hatch man. Not a ek.

But anywayzz. 2 the op, im pretty sure you'll need the mounts from a dc integra. But other than that it should be a straightforward swap. Swap the ls in there and get a b16 tranny! Then it will be pretty quick

Re: Got a bubble!

depends on what swap you do:

B18C 93-95
B16A 92-95
B18B 93-95

Requires engine, trans, ecu, axles, half shaft and shift linkage.

B16A 88-91
Not recommended, easier and cheaper to put B16A 92-95.

B18C-R 96-01
B16B-R 96-01

Requires engine, trans, ecu, OBD2 to OBD1 wiring jumper harness, axles, half shaft and shift linkage.

H22A 92-96
Requires engine, trans, ECU, shift linkage, 94+ Integra axles, Motor Mount kit and 94+ Integra GS-R wiring harness.

any B18 swap WILL be a direct fit. i'd recommend upgrading your mounts though... also i recommend finding a GSR tranny

Re: Got a bubble!

guys,
thanks for all of your help! the b18 swap sounds like the swap for me, no wiring for a b1 and its obd1 so its plug and play, do all ecu's have the same pin pattern? i.e. a b18 plug same as a d15? or for that matter in the pre;ude world h series same as others?

Re: Got a bubble!

the swap is eazy if you have everything you need to do it. it will drop right in if you have the b-series mounts.we did my boys over a weekend.

Re: Got a bubble!

excelent!
i got a TONNNN of the car put back together, im getting a head gasket tomorrow,
maybe ill do some work on it. I dunno. i put the hatch on, got the taillights in, put the glass in and got the hatch all wired up (nothing was cut!)
I put the teggy seats in, those are comfy, i deleted the A/C and got the stupid resonator out, all of that (compressor and all!) musta weighted about 50 pounds or so, so it was a nice weight reduction!

oh and the best part? THE REAR HATCH HAS A WIPER!

Re: Got a bubble!

nope, screw sunroof, lol.
It's the middle Model, DX i think was middle? or maybe we have an EX, too many letters,

im excited though. im pretty sure i know how to tention the timing belt, it should just be a matter of loosening the tension bolt on the tensioner and than putting the belt in place? hopefully that will do something....
