pulled the motor out of my Camino

Well its not my Lude , but some people asked me about this thing, my 1984 Chevy El Camino, so I took some crappy cell pics while i was over my old mans house workin on it. The Camino had a 305 in it and it was SO SLOW...plus i pushed it a little to hard one day after it got painted and blew it up so I finally am gonna try and throw a 350 in it this winter if i save enough dough. It was painted like 4 years ago and I only drove it maybe 50 miles since I owned it. It mostly just sits. Shaved door handels, Viper Red paint with hand painted old school SS stripes, ZR1 corvette rollpan, shaved tailgate, shaved chrome and emblems, hard tonneau cover, sittin on American Racing Hopsters 15x8.
It didnt take that long because cus i already had unbolted the manifolds, took out the radiator,ac,powersteering, alt, fan , waterpump, etc...all the other day so all i had to do today was unbolt the tranny/bellhousing bolts and the motor mounts........ but getting it out by myself was tricky and the fudger didnt want to release from the input shaft but after some cussin and sweatin, took a break to smoke a blunt and she was out LOL
other plans for it besides the new 350 are to SLAM IT.

also I hadn't seen the Lude in awhile also so I started it up and took a couple pics of her sleeping in his garage.

Smoke is from my BLunT LOL

Re: pulled the motor out of my Camino

a lift would be so much more handy then jacking up the car and setting cinderblocks with jackstands on them =P

ND_LUDE is on a distinguished road
Re: pulled the motor out of my Camino

Hey man. I got one of them too. An 86, not as clean as yours but i'm workin on it. Painted last year and has the 263 V6. not nearly as fast as my lude, but its the daily driver and gets the job done with desent gas mileage. By the way, how hard was it to mold your tailights in like that? Keep up the good work.

nice dude! got any pics of ur Camino...not that many with the V6's, is it a stick?....i was thinking about a V6 stick Elky so i could drop in the Buick Gran National 3.8 turbo motor...
they never made stick V8s the taillights are part of a fiberglass rollpan that replaces the bumper it came with the Zr1 lights in it and when i had it painted they installed it. so it def needed body work so there was no gaps on the side. i think i got it from Lauren Enginering, they have a lot of Elky/gbody parts.
