new members newest pics.

I decided to take some pictures today.
I made sure to get a shot of the newest upgrade, Legend dual piston calipers and Vtec rotors.
I plan on making a custom lip for the stock bumper and reworking the rear bumper, but only after I install the Ground Control coilovers that are waiting in the garage.
Not bad for 2000 dollars and another 1800 in mods.
I wish I had pictures from when I first got it. The car was on some
steeles, the front bumper was in three pieces, the sides were hanging
half way off. It had no intake and didnt run, some punks destroyed the
center dash. So I replace the the dead nissan battery, replaced the ECU fuse, took out the crap alarm and it started right up.
My wife says I didnt buy it for 2000 I stole it for 2000.
I did all the Mods myself (excluding the shaved trunk) so if you have
any Questions, ask away. And tell me what you think.

Is this a BB1 Prelude? Does it leak or burn any oil?

and what kind of wheels are those? Offset, width, etc.

Thanks

The Prelude looks great by the way. Once you get the coilovers installed and have the car lowered a bit, it will look real nice.

Its a 95 Si bb4. As for the rims they are ADR Sokudo 17x7 with a 40 offset
( I think )
The only Problem with the car is the Idle bounce and the valves need to be
adjusted but I will get to them sometime this month.
The car is in really get shape the previous owner took good car
of it and always took it to the deal for repairs and what not.

You outta get the Prelude lettering from a 5th gen and go across your trunk with it so it doesn't look so bare with the lonely H emblem. Based on your story, it's sure come a long way. Keep it up!

That plate relocation looks great, nice work. The wheels suit it well.

How many bars does your temperature gauge show when you Prelude is fully warmed up? Just curious, because sometimes I wonder if my temperature guage is reading correctly or if the motor's temp. is a little bit higher than what it should be. Mines stays right in the center when fully warmed up.

I wish my Prelude was as clean and well maintained as yours!

BTW, I just noticed your exhaust. What kind of exhaust?

I have a '94 BB1 and my idle used to bounce. I had a vaccum leak inside my IACV. The vaccum leak was due to the valve inside the IACV being loose. I tightened up the valve and cleaned up the IACV with break cleaner and it idles smooth as ever now.

Does the car make popping sounds or something? Mines makes popping sounds when idling sometimes. My friend's dad said's it's the car misfiring and that I have a bad valve. I'm hoping that it may just be that the valve(s) just need some adjusting.

The trunk used to be shaved completly no emblem or anything
then I made a ricer's deceision (big mistake) and put on the emblem. Showaski39 you were right it looked a lot better. I would take it off, but I will have two holes and a leaky trunk and I dont want that.

As for the popping sound that your car makes it does sound like a misfire,
but that could be caused by a few things like bad plugs, wires, cap, dirty fuel injector. A compresion check would give you a better idea if a valve is
bad.

As far as the temp. gauge goes mine stays at half way but the stock temp gauge sucks. I now have an Autometer in the A pillar and the stock one varies by as much as 20 degrees.

Thanks for all the comments and keep them up.
