My 5th gen VTi

hey guys I posted up in the new people area about a month back but never posted pics.. here she is kinda dirty.. is always rains here (Germany) anyways I have an AEM cold air intake and thats about it for now.. I do have a few questions regarding the VTi would it be considered the SH? I'm set back on buying exhaust parts becuase I dont know what to classify it as because of the difference's.. its also an auto.. hopefully I get deployed soon so when I come back il drop the 5spd in.. i am pretty sure it is all wheel steering but it doesn't work (i haven't trouble shooted into it) the car has only 71,000 miles and I plan importing this biotch to the states when my tour is up here.. I also posted pics of the my crv i just picked up as well.. oh yea i also painted the calipers today.. I have strut bars ordered and hopefully will be here soon.. sweet deal megan strut bars for 40 plus the shipping for both.. nutz! I plan on refinishing the wheels and painting them black with either red lip maybe..

-Marty

You really need to clean the inside of your lude. LOL Looks good. I see you like black. Ha! Ha! Will you be able to import your lude back to the states? I thought you can't because the whole right hand drive thing. Good luck though.

will the cost of importing it worth it. won't it be easier and cheaper to just sell it there and buy one here.

Re: My 5th gen VTi

nah it wont be that bad.. all it needs is the double pane windshield and dot3 lights and it will be good.. 200 bux for the windshield and I will be golden.. there isn't that much difference between the us and Uk spec.. and the right hand drive has grown on me I love it.. I am allowed to take one car home with me when I leave and the other will cost about 1500us to send back..

nah if hes in the army which it sounds like by the hope of getting deployed the army will pay to have it shipped back with him. pretty sweet deal actually. (that was one of the main reasons i wanted to get stationed in japan) but i guess you should just check and see if it has the ATTS system and if not then i would buy exhaust stuff for the base model. also are those rims 4 or 5 lug? cause they look friggin sweet. one last thing, whats that dial on the bottom space of your sunroof/cruise/dimmer panel?

those rims are stock 17inch Eneki's 5 lug.. and the little dial is the headlight adjuster. I am in the air force helicopter crew chief

Re: My 5th gen VTi

That's a very nice VTi you have there mate. Motegi rims are rare as too, and perfectly compliment the black bodywork. Though I'm not too sure about that woodgrain surround on the stereo...

Re: My 5th gen VTi

Sweet ride man!!! I wish i had a 4ws 5th gen, that wolud be so cool.

If you have an auto then its probably a base model cause they didn't make the SH in auto. To be sure though, just check the VIN. It should be something like JHMBB8 then the number aftwr that Will tell you. 1 = base, 2 = SH.

Welcome again!!

I don't know the foreign ones, so someone like brash would have to comment, but I know in the US that would mean that you have a type SH

i thought it was if you had BB61 its manual and BB62 its automatic

and the next number is either 4=base 5=SH

That means it's a 4WS auto, SH VIN is JHMBB615. The next number on the VTi will be 4, meaning that it wasn't equipped with ATTS, which is a given since ATTS cannot be fitted to an auto Prelude. Decoding the VIN is easy and isn't really market specific, especially when the cars were all produced in the same factory.
