Updates of my 4gen

Hi
I've had this car for 4 months now and this are just a few cosmetic updates I've done to it and thought I should share it with you guys.

First I painted the vents/grills because they where all cracked up.
Sorry for the blurry pictures.

Before:

After:

I also changed the window molding with brand new ones because they were in horrible condition. I'm sorry I don't have better pics of the old ones but I got too excited and forgot to take some when they were in the car. But trust me, it was horrible.

The old against the new: (Blurry and dark )

New:

And last but not least, my antenna was f***ed up. It wouldn't go all the way down and make the horrible sound I'm sure some people here are familiar with.
So I bought a new mast only to find out that the old one was so corroded that it wouldn't come out. I blasted it with WD40 and took it out of the car, have my dad pull on the base while I pulled the mast and it just wouldn't come out. So I went with a s2000 look-a-like (Lo Custom antenna) and I really like the new look and the reception is like 98% compare to the OEM. (I had better reception in the garage with the OEM antenna but who listens to radio in the garage anyway)

This is as far down as it would go after I pushed down on it and disconnected the power.

New one:

Better angle

Coming next (this weekend more likely) I'll paint the wipers flat black since they look awfully faded right now and paint the valve cover (can't stand looking at it for much longer) if I finally decide what color I want. (Currently debating between Gloss Black Or Gold or maybe Red)

Is this the longest post or what?
Comments or questions are welcome
See ya

Re: Updates of my 4gen

Well guys, I don't know what you used to make your emblem gold (looks very nice) but until now I'll be using Duplicolor engine paint. Sorry but don't have money for powder coating or anything like that so it wont be like bling gold if that what you thought. But I'll try to do my best and will definitely be back with pics. I've already bought the paint stripper and clear coat but still not sure what color. So you guys vote for gold?

Re: Updates of my 4gen

i used montana graffiti cosmos violet paint ($7). not even high heat paint, never had a fade issue yet after two months. neither did i use clear coat, just baked the vc in the oven for a bit to settle the paint. when you strip the paint go ahead and hose it off in the backyard to completely remove all paint for the smooth look...good luck

Beat me to it.

Definitely nice cleaning the car up, but I noticed right away in that last shot that you have a 5 lug conversion done. Did you do it yourself?

Re: Updates of my 4gen

You guys are demanding
Yes I have a 5lug conversion with s2k rims. And no I didn't do it. I bought the car like that. I really like them so they are here to stay.
There are some pics of the car in the new members section where you can see the rims better but that thread is old so I guess I'll look for them post them here or take better ones for your enjoyment.

And eludeauthority I like your engine bay. Loving the stainless header, that's something I'm doing sooner or later.

The window molding I got it from Majestic Honda
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

And for the vents I used Duplicolor primer first and then Duplicolor Black Trim paint but any flat black would work.

And thanks to everybody for the compliments.

No problem.

Here's the photo were you can see the rims better. This was a week after I bought it.

As for the valve cover I worked on it today. It's out of the car, stripped and lightly sanded. Ready for painting tomorrow. (Duplicolor Universal Gold)
Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow because today rained a lot.
See ya guys.

Is not perfect. Has some flaws here and there that you can see when you get close but the camera didn't captured. But it looks 10 times better than before.
Again comments or questions are welcome.

And 97ROJOBB6 I still don't know what color to paint the spark plugs cover. I like the color it has right now (original) but it needs paint because it's stained and has chipped a little in the H emblem.
