Finally Decided to Post

Yep, I realized I didn't have any decent pictures of my relatively stock Prelude. Figured today was a nice day to clean my baby up and take some pre design pictures -- I am going to be photoshopping some pics to get an idea what I want the final product to look like.. anyways, here is my whip as she is now:

boy oh boy I have a LOT of work to do....

Re: Finally Decided to Post

Ironically... I have nothing but my DVD Player and a pair of 5.25 seperates installed right now.

Been waiting for it to warm up so I can start doing some fiberglassing... spent most of the winter buying parts and getting ready for the "install."

As for the exterior... I would love some new wheels, She DEFINATELY needs to drop at least an inch or two, and she is in bad need of some paint and body work. That's where Photo Shop comes in...

Car looks clean. Can't wait to see when you install the fiberglass. Good luck.

i like your lude and the bodywork looks pretty good from where i'm sitting, i'd say a good compound and polish would do just to bring up the paintwork

Re: Finally Decided to Post

notice how all the pics were from the left side? LOL... she has some damage just in front of the right rear fender to the door jamb. The previous owner was a really stupid biyatch (I know this to be true because she is my Brother in laws ex wife! LOL!)

The story, as I was told, is that she was pulling out of a gas station and cut the corner sharp and smashed into a concrete pillar. It is damaged in such a way, I think it may be cheaper to go ahead and put a "new" fender on it. I'll post a pic later. So, of course if I do that, then the whole car will need to be painted. That red paint is so faded and nasty on the hood, wing, and the front plastic pieces that there is no recovering the paint  It just needs a new coat.

this was my little rescue car.... the engine was blown up-- the lady never put oil in it.... just ran her till she died. The interior carpet and upholstery all needs to be replaced, the dash is in shambles from stupid kids ripping it apart to "install" a stereo. The door panels have cuts and abrasions, and the trunk and door seals leak.

see.. I have a LOT of work to do, but it is a labor of love and will always be my daily driver. I would rather sink $3-$4 thousand into repairs than pay for a new plastic POS, non distinct car off the lot.

Thanks for the comments. I am learning MUCH from this site and look forward to getting a lil dirt under my fingernails as I work on my baby.

HAHAHAHA.... that is the second time I've been asked that.... Cloverleaf is a name of one of our local Dairies....
That picture was taken at an old drive-in fast food joint as part of a photo contest on another forum.... same with the Pepsi/Bill board picture.

And yes, I Live in Hickville Idaho... LOL

Re: Finally Decided to Post

Love the color, but yeah I'd do some basic/small stuff to the lude if I were you. front lip, mild drop, maybe new wheels. Sucks about the damage though, hope you can get that fixed and she'll be 100% :)
