Hey there young grasshopper. Welcome to Prelude-Tech. A strut bar connects your right and left strut towers together, resulting in less body roll when cornering. As far as blowing your motor is concerned, I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as you have an intake, header, exhaust (I/H/E) combination. When going with a turbo, you have various other things to take into consideration, ie. cooling, fuel, internal engine parts, tuning, etc. Do a little bit of research on turbocharger kits and what function each part serves. Give me a few minutes and I will dig through the link in Jesse's sig and find the info I think will help you most.

^^^ you damn right! get smoked... especially since the 99-00 civic si's with bolt ons can hang with a stock fifth gen it would be neat to have the rb25 or 26dett in it.

yeah it is pretty crazy....probably because it doesn't exist. I don't believe it. If someone had the know how to do that, and then actually did it, he'd probably be in a magazine or online somewhere but he isn't, so I'm calling BS. The only way i'll believe it is if there are pics posted.
Also, you guys are being pretty easy on him for asking a question that he could have found the answer to anywhere...which is good. I'm glad to see you guys weren't assholes about it. but I must say that this thread doesn't really belong in this section. being that it has nothing to do with N/A motors. i'm thinking maybe it shoudl be moved?

So he put an AWD motor and drivetrain in a lude? Granted it'd be great to see, but I don't see how it would fit, and the amount of money it would take to custom fab everything would be crazy. I'm calling BS on this too unless I see proof, sorry buddy, but I could come in here and swear to God that I dropped a big block in my prelude, but without pictures, it means nothing. Oh and to the original poster, If you're really going to go turbo, don't get a header, you'll just end up replacing it with a turbo manifold later on.

the physics of putting in a rear wheel drive drivetrain and then trying to squeeze a twin turbo into our engine bay would be damn near impossible, unless you have an economy size can of booty lube to squeeze that engine in. it just doesnt make sense i am sure a ton of people would be doing a swap like that if it existed, hell i would be first in line. Another thing is what kind of axles would you run with that much power i bet they would snap with the wait of that engine and then the power. Sorry dude i wish it were true, but please prove us all wrong.

I cant call BS because with enough $$$ anything can be done.
A rb26dett under the bonnet of the 5th gen Prelude? that wouldve cost the owner at least $10,000.USD and upwards. Fitting the motor and the twin turbo setup(where is the room for the charge pipes?), perhaps even moving the firewall a bit, custom mounts, custom exhaust, axels, driveshafts, dist. shaft etc. etc.
Would be a site to see though. I was reading some import mag, i think it was Sport Compact. They have a `67Mustang with the Rb26dett running the Sklyline ECU...now that was a site to see lol!!!!!1
As for the strut bar. It does help with body flex, cornering is a bit tighter than stock. They are "shock towers." If your Lude is lowered, you're going to feel the amplification of the shocks even more, ie. the bouncyness in the ride increases. Other than that, it is really more of a, "Bling bling" accessory. Depending on what your cars application is for.
I say, forget the STB's. Get stronger sway bars for the teh win :D

I was at a show the other week and got to see a turbo'd integra drifter. It could also switch between RWD, FWD, and AWD. pretty crazy if you ask me. Makes me think anything can be done.
