1) I'm noticing its dang hard to find performance parts for this car. Anyone know of any?
2) Whats with the bad publicity this car gets? Sometimes when i'm out and about people yell "Get a 3rd gen wanna be!" and stuff like that. Wtf?
Thats all I can think about for now.

dude, who cares what they think?
You hve a serious piece of history, and if you are really gonna let people bring you down about it, ill drive my 203,986 mie prelude all the way to oregon and take your car from you, some people on here are mega jelous of them!
Although i hardly beleive people say that, what noobs dude, noobs....
yeah performance parts are mega slim, i dont know of many, check ebay, but you could always get a custom header made, then run a straight pipe to a custom catback, that can take care fo your exhaust, your intae is done, then you can use some universal parts on the interior, Head unit, neon, etc.

Trust me, I don't plan on getting rid of it because of it. I love the way this car looks. And for that matter moves.
And the comment just came from a car meet I went to at Napa a sunday or so ago. Where the guy didn't yell it I suppose but made the general comment rather rudly that I shouldent waste my time and to just get a 3rd gen.
Thats a good idea though. I'm trying to take the header shield off and its being a bitch right now...
Are these motors easy to port & polish? And is there much you can do with the motor? I'm noticing bolt ons are in small supply. But what about straight up engine mods?

Nah, 3rd genners are losers, shh don't tell anyone it's a secret amongst us elite 2nd gen owners. ;)
Richard Judge of the Uk has a very nicely built 2g. Weber carbs and a lot of head work. ugh a lot of stuff. Everything we do is basically custom made, from body work to engine mods. He's got it up to 200hp. . .not bad!

Thats beautiful. How did he remove all the vacuume lines?

He's in the UK, they don't need all that crap. Plus the Webers don't require all that junk so what you see there is all it needs. in the US thsoe are illegal, and we need all the vacuum lines to pass emissions.

I prefer the 4th generation IF they have the JDM LSD... but 5th generations rock... screw that conceited sob... I have a 4th gen h22a/lsd swap.
You should def. be able to find some engine upgrades for that thing seeing as most the H22 upgrades are similar for 4th and 5th generation ludes
good luck

Hmm. I wonder what you could "get by" on. Oregon doesnt have as strict as emissions **** as other states. (Which is funny cause were the "green" state. lol)
I wonder what stuff could be pulled...

I really don't know man. . .haha I remember a thread somewhere else where teh guy took off the un-needed hoses. wasn't sure what state he was in but I don't think they even had emissions.

Ah well. I guess I could just start pulling and caping and see what happens. Either the engine will die or keep running. lol
I guess I got that manuel too. Should show me where all the vacuume lines go.

Hey, so I have another question. Lately my alternator belt has been squeking like a mofo. And now my battery wont hold a charge. Is it the belt, or the alternator that needs to be replaced?

Belt is squeaking, probably the belt. Tighten it up see what happens.

I've tried that. After doing 100 the nut will wiggle its way off (Not to mention one of my lights on the right side will fall off the guide, and close) (My car really hates/loves going over 100, lol)
So... I'm not sure what to do about it. And I cant just tell myself I wont do over 100... Its so easy to do where I live. And the car loves it. Besides the fact I have no 5th gear... So I guess maybe it doesnt love it... but you know what I mean.

Never mind, I think I fixed it. *sighs*
