I wanted to pint the interior on my Explorer b/c it was all gray :(. I decieted to do a head to head with Dupli-color vinyl and fabric vs krylon fusion b/c i seen in a few places that you can use ether one and it will do the same. SOOOOO wrong. I used the dupli-color on the center console and the vinyl of the doors. Krylon was used on the carpet on the doors the speaker cover and the vents.

That is just some car air fresher to take the smell off paint out the car

AND THE WINNER IS..................

The dupli-color won hands down to me. I think is b/c it is made more to use on cars. The krylon i tryed to use on the top vinyl part of the door but it was still tacky a day later so i took it off. The Dupli-color dryed in about 10 second on the vinyl and hard plastic. It was a lil thiner to so it didn't run or drip. The Krylon just sucked, just look at the vents compared to the center console both done the same way. I even used a Q-tip to get all them way clean but it still sucked. I'm going to redo all the pieces i did with the krylon with the dupil-color

how did the carpet feel after you did it? Was it all stiff and sh!t? I know how to fix that. if so. Use a stiff brush on it. Im thinking about refreshing the lude up like this (just that kinda faded seats and a arm rest)

You have to do it when the paint is just tacky (well let me ask my friend about that again) but then it will be like the factory painted it.

I need to repaint the radio bezel on my car. I screwed it up when I did it before. I also wanna do the pieces around my window controls since they're all scratched and messed up. I'll probably get them paint matched to the color of the car when I get around to actually painting the car.
I don't reccomend doing the seats or anything because it eventually wears off and looks like ****. Learned that first hand with a Talon TSi I worked on a while back.
