I am a newb prelude enthusiast. I am planning on purchasing an 88 lude adn wanted to know what kind of mods can be done on it. Most notably, what engines can be swapped on it? Thanks in advance for the info buds. How does the car ride and how reliable is it?

Handles like a dream.
Once you get behind the wheel and take a sharp corner, you're gonna piss your pants how well this car handles...

Swaps...well, your only real realistic option is the JDM b20a. Which is getting harder and harder to find :(
And finally, YOU MUST CHECK OUT HITOLUDE88...http://homepage1.nifty.com/totani-design/05/hitomi88Site/HITOLUDE%20index.htm
Check out his SICK 3rd gen that passes not 1, but 2 DC5 Integras on the track... find his videos...you see how is car handles like that??? look at the verizon, look at his bonnett, see how 4WS RULES everyone??

i dont see a vid section on that site?? where it at?
You can also swap a H22A from a 4th gen into the 3rd gen with a little bit of modifications which'll give your car V-TEC. A lot of modifiers in Australia are doing these swaps. Not sure about the states though.
As for the ride and reliability, I've known people to have over 300,000kz on the clock and still have it running beautifully. The engine and gearboxes seem to be quite reliable and it is very comfortable to ride. Also the 4WS comes in handy when parking...
