Seems odd that something so old would be brand new, but oh well.

Read the whole listing (in reference to where they were kept/how he acquired them).
Man, if that is a true story, that is HARDCORE.

You guys should read the actual listing... the way he REALLY (supposedly) acquired them is even more intense than finding them in his attic...
Now to answer everybody's burning question: Why in the hell do I have this thing, brand new?
Answer: Though probably nobody will ever believe me, my father-in-law is childhood/best friends with Soichiro Honda's (yes, the Mr. Honda who founded Honda motor company in Japan) son, Hirotoshi, who is the founder and was the president of Mugen before he got into some personal issues (Mugen fans may have heard the story but really don't know half of it). Long before King Motorsports even connected with Mugen, my father-in-law was going to be Mugen USA, but that obviously didn't happen. This suspension kit was part of a shipment from Japan to serve as a sample of Mugen race products. It sat in his warehouse, forgotten, for YEARS. It was recently unearthed and now it's on eBay. I have no other Mugen parts for other cars that I'm selling, so please don't ask.

The crazy thing is, there's probably a bunch of sets like that that are just misplaced and were never used. And we will never know about them. Or even worse, someone finds it in their attic and doesn't know what it is, or maybe they hate imports, so they're like "**** Hondas" and they throw it away then the trash man comes and it all gets compacted into a tiny cube or is dumped in a landfill to rust away into nothing.
Well, here is the latest... high bidder flaked out, so they are mine. They should be here any day now, and as far as actually using them? that is still up in the air... they are just to rare

So are you going to fit them or just look at them? Personally I think it's a lot of effort to just have something that rare. I mean if you're not going to fit the gear you may as well have bought a box of old newspapers.

banannas. crazy rare. I hope you actually use this kit. It's a crime to have it just laying around.
I will, but I will not until the car is completely rebuilt... which is not in the cards in the short term as I am already welll into a 08 accord 6-6 build. BUT, when I do get around to restoring/building the car, these will be used... Unless Honda wants them for the museum
