Hey, i just got done with my tail lights and decided to do a write up. Its a little bit harder than it looks because the glue on these lights are a Bitch! My purpose of doing this was to get rid of my old alteza lights and have a nice decent look. I was looking at the stock taillights and the thing that bothered me the most was the amber part. I was looking at some write ups and all of them showed the amber part gone and the bulb showing and i didnt like that. So i found a way to make a clear cover for it. Here are my steps.

1. Have your stock taillights ready and take off wiring harness ( 2 screws holding it in) and the gasket.
MAKE SURE NOT TO PUT WIRING HARNESS OR GASKET IN OVEN.

2. Preheat oven to 250-350 degrees. I put the taillights on a cookie sheet overlapped with foil so they dont get burnt.

3. Put them in the oven for about 3-5 minutes checking on them constantly.

4. Take a knife or prying tool and take off glass covor off the tail lights. ( this part takes a long time and its hard, but itll work.) the glue is still strong, but itll come off.

5. After glass is off, take end of screw driver and hit the amber cover that covers up the bulb from the inside. it should come off pretty easily.

Heres what you should end up with

Now here is the part that was the hardest for me.

I went to Home Depot and got an acrylic lightning panel sheet.

I traced the stock lens over the smooth side of the sheet and traced the shape. Then i started cutting it. It was real hard cutting it without getting cracks and stuff. Heres the result.

I placed them in and that part is done. The fitting is not good butit'll do. It might be loose but nothing will happen.

BTW. if you dont wanna make your own, i have extras. 6 bucks shipped.

Heres the result.

After that, put glass back on headlights. Just out them in the oven 250-350 degrees for about 3-5 minutes and push them back into place. Its pretty hard but if you push hard enough, itll go back in place. ( BE CAREFUL. THE GLASS GETS PRETTY HOT S O USE A CLOTH OR A COOKING MIT.

Heres how the final product should turn out.

Then, put the wiring harness and bulbs back in and the gasket back and there you have it, clear lenses.

Heres how they look on the car.
