I am doing a stereo system this week. I'm having some trouble with the front speaker wire. I was wondering if the stock wiring would work at 60 rms. Would I be pushing my luck? I have bigger wiring I was going to run it through the stock channel but I can't see if the wiring meets the door in a connector and Honda filled the hole with a white viscous goo which I find unpleasant.
P.S. I'm typing this from firefox 3 beta 5 on the new Ubuntu 8.04 rc if we have any computer nuts in the house.

I'm running 75WRMS through the stock wiring into the doors with no problems. Run your good cable as close to the door as possible, then join to the OEM wires. And once inside the door, again go run your good cable as close to the door connection as possible.
Oh, and this will be moved to the audio visual section in a sec

At 60w rms you will be more than fine. You can hook up your amp wires (I assume your doing an amp at 60w) at the wires at the headunit even. Your additional couple feet difference even with the crappy 22 ga or whatever tiny wire Honda used in our cars is still not going to have enough resistance to have an effect. Im in trouble with my new amp. Im going to HAVE to run 16ga or better in the door with 250w of Boston power (oh yeah!)
White viscous goo is generally unpleasant.
