install a **COSTUM NEON** trunk light

i did this today and it took me about 2 hours.


**u will need**
-neon tube $20 at auto zone 15" is what i used
-hand saw or dremal electric cutter
-help from one person
-electrical tape
-screw driver
-knife/wire striper


STEP 1:
First u need to remove ur stock trunk light(the whole plastic thing, SAVE IT U WILL NEED IT)




STEP 2:
Then us the hand saw(dremal was faster) and cut away all the plastic that is unnecessary (don't cut where the cable plugs in or where the bulb goes). u will need to put some rubber or plastic behind the tongs where the bulb goes so that u can easily insert the wire later.




STEP 3:
Now u need to shortin the cable on the neon light, leave ur self enough cord to attach it to ur moded oem light relay thingy.





STEP 4:
then strip about 1 1/2 inches of cord on the neon, and insert it into the moded relay thingy. (make sure u put + with +) separate the cables and make sure they cant touch (if they do it will cause a short!) now wrap the whole relay in electrical tape.





STEP 5:
plug it in. if it dosnt work u probly have a contact problom,(cheek ur relay)




Step 6:
Mount the light where ever want.


I like this and i think im ganna do the same thing in my back window ledge.

i did this to my old accord back when i was into this kinda stuff. i even got a neon from walmart that was sound-sensitive, and it reacted to the bass of my subs. it was kinda cool for the F&F-effect.
