Elliot, ive seen your base wheels painted black and im sure it covered up imperfections on your wheels, whats it like to paint 'em, how do you do it and such, is there like a special paint or something, and wont the paint just get scratched off from rocks and ****?
others give your comments too

painting your wheels is a PITA they will get rock chips and such. if you only spend $20 or so on paint, then I guess it is worth it. they do make wheel paint. were you planning on using gold or bronze? it would look great

yeah i figured just as much, if its a pain in the ass i want nothing to do with it, im sick of trying cheap mods peoples imaginations come up with and it ends up being ****, i dont cheap out on the engine bay and its the nicest part, wouldnt you know it,
i ripped out the subs and amp, what a joke that is.
just in general cleaned it up im much happier without al that ****, sometimes we just have to step back and accept the preludes beauty for what it is. in otherowrds my rims will stay crappy for all i care, the car still impresses and it impresses enough for me, im only 15

I missed it...
Well, use use Dupi-Color wheel paint. Use the metal primer of your choice and also Dupi-Color wheel clear coat. Put 3 good coats of paint and 1-2 good coats of clear. I only used 1 coat of paint and the only chips are on the counterweights on the edge of the wheel which are lead and if you know chemistry, lead doesn't hold paint very well anyway due to the oily composition. Imma re-paint them again this summer and use more paint than last time. Also gonna re-do the red lip.

dupli-color rim paint. did wonders for mines. they make clear coat for it too. heavy layers are good for preventing scratches..

The only pain is sanding down and making sure everything is smooth, other than that spraying isnt too bad
