Guys I found a set of rims with brand new tires from a 96 ITR and the rims are pristine and happen to be one of my favorite rims set other then the JDM RSX-S rims and I think it will add alot to my prelude. Will they fit though, they are 16s witha 4x114 offset, Im worried about lug pattern and brake fitment.
Tell me what you think :))))))

They won't fit, the ludes lugs are further spaced out then them
What can I do to remedy this I really want these rims, I don't think they came off a dc2 as those rims had more spokes, I think they came of like a 90-93 integra, in which case I have a wrrecked one which i think the hubs are intact could I swap them in and buy the rims and have no problems...
help me out someone :)

if it is 4X114 it will fit.
if it is 4X100 it will only fit 3rd gens and other hondas with that pattern..

THE OFFSET ON THESE WHEELS IS 4X114
is what it says about them, but what does the offset mean exactly...Im worried about the lug pattern and will the rims match/line up with ym STOCK SI hub bolts wheel studs or whatever they're called. I can't buy them and not have them fit ya know?
Please someone help me out with this, I really would appreciate it, since I already ordered my new brake setup I can't go and get different hubs and stuff.
So my question is do the holes on the rims line up with the bolts on my hubs...I really need to know soon :)

yes, as long as the wheels have a 4x114 bolt pattern, they will fit, because our cars have the same bolt pattern.
but hopefully you didn't get a big brake kit, cuz most (if not all) require a minimum wheel size of 17"
and when looking at the car from above it, offset is how far in or out of the wheel wells the wheels are.
but this is usually only a problem on big rims with wide tires. you should have no problem with 16's

nah the brake kit is OEM replacement :)
So really the rims will fit?!!!? the lugs will line up?
woot woot
I called him up and he said they are 114.3 to be exact does that change anything?

If they're 4x114, they're not ITR rims. In fact, I don't think there even was an ITR in '96.
But yeah, if you have a 4g, they'll fit just fine. Pop the center caps off and make sure the hub fits the center bore of the wheel. You may need snap rings if they're aftermarket. But if they really are Honda wheels (not necessarily ITR) they'll be hubcentric.

yeah those are the ITR rims, looked at getting a set for my prelude but my 3rd gen is 4x100 bolt pattern, so i can't do it, but if you have a 4th gen then you're good to go, how much do they want for them?

I've seen those before on Ludes. They aren't authentic ITR wheels, but ITR style.
Should look good.

Many magazines not only say that authentic ITRs have 5 lugs, but most pictures show 5 lugs. The pictures you are showing I believe to be type r projects. Integras people have decked out just like ITRs. The picture shown is a 96 ITR in jersey listed on ebay.

#1 They are ITR wheels, they are hubcentric, also say HONDA on the back of them, never posted pics, didn't seem necessary.
#2, They DID make an ITR in japan in 96, much like they made an h22a prelude in 91, they just got it a year earlier, and you know that honda was 4 lug in 96 therefore the ITR had 4 lug wheels.
#3 that pic of a 96 ITR has the American Acura Integra type r wheels.... and they are 5 lug. because he did a brake swap most presuambly.

the last two pictures that i posted is a compleatly stock JDM type R hasn't been altered at all, they're not "project Type Rs", the reason you probally see more photos of the 5 lug convos on type Rs is because of the increased rotor size in 97 to 15" fronts and 14" rears, and plus they can roll the bigger rims and still keep the Type R heritage, as for what magazines say... half of the people who write the articles are complete morons! for example the post that got everybody in here fired up, about Import tuner and what they said about the prelude.

Yeah, they're both 4 lug, but the ITR is 4x100 while the Lude is 4x114.3.
