website rules for posting

im a big fan if the prelude zone. i took my time and read thru everything pretty much and the set up is smooth and neatly put together. BUT i just don't understand why you gotta have alot of post before you are allowed to post in some area. i understand that you guys don't want spam people to spam or harm the site but damn. im not trying to start no problems or anything but im curious im not here to spam and not every post is for me

you answered your own question yourself. to prevent people from coming in here and spamming, from selling stuff to other members when no one here knows who they are. people with a lot of posts and a long history here will probably be more trustworthy than people who just joined and have 1 post, and it's their for sale thread.

It's not a problem limited to here either, we have had a lot of problems on other forums as well where people join for the sole purpose of selling a couple of things, which turn out to be dodgy items anyway.
