Ok so here is what i s going on. before my turbo project i had no smoke coming out of it. now i have just barely got my turbo on and when we drove it it smoked ALOT (i thought the fire department was going to get called) Any way, i put in a 255 Walbro 370CC injectors fuel pressure regulator with a 1.1 rising rate. and of course the turbo, (98 base by the way) now why is it smoking so bad, is there to much gas, cuz it does not smell like oil. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

can you be a lil more specific? what color smoke? blue, white, black?
and is it coming from your turbo, exhaust?...

my money is on too much oil pressure blowing past the seals of your turbo and passing into your downpipe and/or IC piping

white smoke is burning coolant than.
is it a water cooled turbo? do you see any leaks? and is it coming out the exhaust?

it could also just be all the oils and greases burning off the turbo and exhaust from you handling everything while installing it.

well ALL turbo's are oil cooled, but some are oil AND water cooled, but juding by the way you said its oil cooled, i'm assuming its not water cooled as well.

if your absolutely positive its only white smoke (and no blue) then it would help if you could isolate WHERE the smoke is coming from.

the reason i ask is because when its cold your car naturally blows white smoke, condensation. I mean the lack of info does not help, but a turbo pushes ALOT of air into the cylinders, hence more exhaust out the back [ i think? ] and if you have a turbo muffler like you shoud then its wide open for the exhaust.

more info would be good, we talkin THICK F@CKIN white smoke or, eh, smoke see through and stuff.

perhaps if you have the technology a short video of this said smoke would help me and nick to better diagnose your problem.
