PZ Skin Poll

Alright guys, I got the OK from Dave to create a new skin for PZ!
So, I need to know what kind of skin everyone would be interested in.

Choices for color schemes:
1. Light
2. Dark
3. Grey
4. Red
5. Blue

I want to make this something alot of people will want, so any feedback, or ideas will be highly appreciated!

Also.. you know you could have made this a poll yourself with up to 10 different choices, right? when you post a thread, before you click submit or what not... scroll all the way down and there is a check box for making it a poll... and how many different possible choices (up to 10) for it.

I'm gonna give this poll a few days to see how it goes. So far it looks like its gonna be light or gray. I personally voted for gray, but we'll have to see how the results are in a few days.

Oh yeah, just to give you guys an idea of my skill (not trying to brag, just trying to give an example),
heres is a fab that I did of an OS I thought up. I made it by hand, pixel by pixel, using solely microsoft paint. :biggrin:

first off that paint picture is insane, and someone definetly has too much time to kill. second i personally like the pz default (consul fluid?) the best cuz its easy on the eyes. so i vote for either dark or grey.

Also, I voted gray because I love the dark theme, but I'd like something a little different. It's really interesting to see everyones opinions ;)

EDIT: By the way, if anyone on here is fairly knowledgeable on HTML coding let me know, as I may need your help.

Well I'm not going to school for web design, I'm going for graphic design. So I don't know HTML. But what I do know is how to make a good design. Which is why I'm asking for help. If I thought I could do it myself I'd try, but I know I'm not fluent enought in HTML to do it. So if you know HTML, would ya mind helping, or at least giving me some tips? I'm only doing this because I don't have any money to contribute to PZ, so I'm trying to contribute in whatever way I can. And for me thats my Graphic Design skill.

Wow! This is quite a turn around! I was expecting it to be light or gray, but apparently everyone wants another dark theme. Now, since it is so close between the three, what would everyone think of me making it predominantly dark, but with some elements of light and gray?

Dude, if you cant do it just fess up and say so. If I wanted to do one I would already have it done, and I deal with a full time job and college classes, but I still find time to make sigs for anyone that asks.

Being fluent in HTML is almost a need when making a skin for a forum. You should never have gotten into it knowing that you weren't fluent. It's admirable that you want to do something to donate to the site, but I think you need to find something that you can actually do. Just send me the code and I'll hook up several skins for someone to decide if they can be used or not, or I'll just get one of the mods to get me the code from the owner.

Anyways if it really is that necessary to be fluent in HTML I'll send you the code, so you can do it. Maybe I'll start trying to teach myself HTML and eventually I can do one. If you know of any good resources for learning the code, hook me up. I'll pm you about the code.

when i went to the site today i had to type in the address a few times i wasnt sure this was the same site(i have 3 or so prelude forums) However once i saw the change in the skin i think its a deffinite improvement. Very refreshing!

Yes, that's right. We're getting a new night skin. The vBulletin we were using was so old, the skin it had would be obsolete with what we're running now. The new one will be similar and we'll have a different day skin as an alternative. This here is just the default vBulletin one until we get all that going.
