So I finished my Si to Vtec conversion. I am using Brembo Sport pads on the Brembo Blanks. The calipers I picked up were from a salvage yard. They both looked good with minimal rust on the piston, bad choice. The left one locked up on me as I was doing the Brake-in test, slow stops from 20mph or so. I did about 10 stops and then go to check if I had any problem, I step out of the car and I smell burnt brakes. I said "OHHH Sh!t F^cker!!" I then proceaded to check if the brake was hot. My stupid self goes in and touches the rotor. It was HOT..
The car is now at home in the grarge. The rotor is turning purple on the inside , but it didn't seem that it was damaged. Hopefully the pads aren't glazed over. I can't get the caliper off because 1) Its HOT 2) its stuck.
So the lesson is BUY NEW/remanufactured CALIPERS!!!!

You might wanna get that rotor checked out could have hot spots in it now. Might cause a vibration later on.

I might take it to school and have them put it on the brake leahe again.
Got the pads off with the persuasion of a hammer and they are fine.
