1 up for the Turbo page! Here's the deal. I'm getting a Turbonetics kit and want to keep ATTS in tact. My goal is a scant 250whp, just about where ATTS would start acting up. I would like to run a better FMU than the one supplied with the kit. Can't use Hondata or AEM EMS as they do not support ATTS. I was going with get the new Apex'i AFC Neo but was told it was not a good idea for FI. Next I thought about the Greddy e-manage ultimate since it is a piggyback and works in conjunction with the stock ECU I thought this might get the job done better than the Neo. Anyone know if this will work?

have you looked into crome or uberdata. i personally dont know of a management system that keeps atts in tact and working properly, i thought it either turned off at 250wheel or just stayed on, nothing about acting up

Yeah, personally I wouldn't use the Neo for boost because it hasn't been tested yet..
If I were you, I'd chip my ECU and pick up an S200 with boost.

Greddy E-Management Ultimate (black box). It keeps your car OBDII so you'll still have atts.....
scroll down to the middle of the first post where I'm talking about tuning and see what it does. In some ways it's even better than hondata.

yo deric... I'll be at about 230ish whp n/a plus my motor is being built for something else aswell. Once I add that one component I'll be well over 300whp so if you think your little turbo and smoke me keep thinking that. ;)

I'm saving for a evo or sti.... I'm sticky to my philosophy on boosting n/a cars. Just don't do it. Too much money...

The ATTS unit will slip on you even before you achieve 250whp. My unit slips when there's a great ****e of torque. You can feel the gears slipping. I hate it!!!!

I'm all for the ATTS system actually, and im all for N/A not Boost.
But i see where ATTS and Boost can conflict.
I'm a big physics guy and i read up on the ATTS system back when it was launched in the 5th gen Lude.
Because the SH tranny has sensors and hydraulics, using pretty much a planetary gear system that sends torque, wheel-driven torque to the outer, slipping wheels, a lot of sudden power(boost) can cause the "slippage" as Khuna said.
I've yet to drive an SH.
I think though, the 3rd gen mechanical 4ws would match up well with ATTS in the thick twisties :D

I wish there was some way of reprogramming the ATTS control module. But if that possible, it would be useless because my engine management runs on an OBD-1 ECU.

i have one question though. is the "slippage" actually causing damage to the ATTS or is it just disengaging?

mo tec if u want to pay that much lol. and dont use chrome or uberdarta... i really do not trust that cuz of so many glitches and acting up alot whenever u race.... and y do u want atts? for better traction? i would get the h23tranny if it fits. remember u need longer gear when ur boosted. i say any h22 transmission have close ass gears... and convert it to obd1 and use hondata w/ p28 :-)
