what is a good bolt on kit for the 4th gen lude? I want to make 300whp, but eventually ill upgrade the internals and hopefully push 400+ to the ground. Please help.

If you are looking for 300whp you would probably be better off upgrading your internals first. You can make 300whp on a stock block, but you have to have a near flawless tune. IMHO it is better to upgrade internals first instead of having to replace your block. If you were working on a d-series motor, I'd say go for it. But since the price of an h22 is quite a bit higher than a d-block, it's better safe than sorry.

yes, it will be difficult to make 300 with stock internals, ALMOST impossible. i wouldnt go turbo without getting internals first. then think about a turbo.

Besides, the stock internals aren't made to have that big of boost anyway.

ive been reading my honda HP book and they had jackson racing to throw over 600HP on the stock block before it blew and they say if your engine it still strong you can easily pull away over 300WHP

but then all you need is a belt or spring to f up and thats a goddnight to that idea

the only way to get 300whp out of the JR blower on the h22 is to build the motor. The blower that they make for the h22 (M62 I think) can't handle too much. it will blow up aswell as the engine.

There's one thing you guys all forgot to mention...they don't make a bolt on kit for a fourth gen prelude. The only bolt on kit for Preludes is made by Greddy and it's for fifth gen ludes only.

I've seen kits for H23's and H22's on eBay..

I don't know why a 5th gen H22 kit wouldn't fit a 4th gen..

Can anyone explain this..?

well then i stand corrected. That's actually not a bad price, but honestly i would only feel really safe if Greddy came out with a kit for H23 ludes. I trust they're R&D and I know they make good ****...you could easily tubocharge a lude with over 100k on it and be totally fine with one of those kits.

Turbonetics and DRAG also make kits for the 4th gen, this is actually the guy I bought my lude from, he lives about half an hour or so from me. http://www.turbokits.com/prelude_turbo_kits.html

Internals definitely!!!! Unless you want to gernade your engine. Cam shafts that are suitable and sleeve that block if your pushing greater than 8psi.
