So i have come to the conclusion that i OWN the FI section seeing how i'm everywhere so far on this one page pathetic section... i guess knowone really knows the FI parts of a car haha

Anyways heres the deal, i have all my goodies to boost with stock internals, but my goal is to boost with built internals, mind you if you've been keeping up with my build, i have JE pistons and Eagle rods and all.. my only delemma is that i dont have the $1200-$1500 dollars to have my motor built by a shop anytime soon. (expecially when my job that i just transfered too isnt giving me but 22 hrs a week so far..)

i will save up and time will only tell when i can come up with the cash for the build but do you think i should just throw on the Turbo and its goodies for now, run 9 lbs with s200 w/ boost option and be happy till i store it in the winter, pull it out and then build for next spring ?

tell me what you think?, i am looking for atleast 300 wheel hp with stock internals at high boost.... i can throw this btchin; kit on tomorrow if i just stick with stock internals untill i save up enough to have it rebuilt, help me out here with your opinions and comments

Thanks for looking

firstly there may be one or two people here who know a bit about turbo'd preludes...

i'd say toss the turbo on now.. run low boost. the turbonetics kit i have states that you can run on stock internals at 10 psi with no problem... i wouldn't trust that 100%, but maybe 6-8 psi you'll be fine daily driving... mine is set to 6 right now... if i have something particularly exciting to do, i switch in my 10 psi spring (not the most efficient way to controll boost, but i'm not ready for the boost controller i want just yet)

then again, i'm allowed to be a bit ballsier about this, since i have a spare h22 in case anything happens

no i know a lot about turbo charging, i put together a custom kit, i know it all, i just wanted people opinions on this hole ordeal, im no newb when it comes to this....

i had a spair h22 but ended up selling it, i really think i should have saved it and built that bad boy and when the time came just sell my h22a jspec motor i have now... too much you can do with cars and so many ways of messing it up

oh, i wasn't saying you didn't know anything about forced induction.. i was just going along with your comment on the lack of FI topics on this board

so, what's your custom kit include?

The only reason the FI section is not on and popping is because we don't have anybody asking questions. So now that we have a few turboed ludes on here now lets get it popping.

it was great ;)!.. in less than a month I start my turbo project so I was just doing some searching on here to see some of the things I'd advice you to do so my setup will be a little easier.

I gotta ask. How do you guys happen to have stuff like a "spare h22" layin around? I wish I had that LOL. I'd do just about anything to have somethin like that.

Mebbe I should join the army again, get a bonus...

I was considering building a turbo H22 and throwing it in a dx hatch. we'll see if it pans out. if I build it, the car will be a total pile with a kickass motor lol

haha theres one rolling around here, teal civic hatch, rust and all... owned by a local shop, on his own dyno he put for 676 wheel hp.... completely STOCK on the outside but destroys anything and everything with regular tires on it... i guess he has over 30k into it, from a custom tranny to its custom exhaust system

sounds great. my all motor build cost quite a bit, but I did what I wanted with it. now it's time to boost something, just not my lude.

true, i think ace wanted to do the same thing as you but not boost it. just a sleeper all motor civic hatch. i say get a tercel and swap in a h22 in there, that will turn some heads yes it will ha
