The Tanabes (upper lower front rear) were all about 120 a piece. I found the DC for 100 bucks, and the Sway Bars....Umm...I'm not really sure...maybe about 200 each? Can't remember, long time ago.

Uhh...Advance Auto...but I changed the color to satin black, if you didn't notice the different color. Also...did you get your Borbets from tire rack? Haha. I found them while I was browsing, and they look just as good as the Type S rims. Like I said...your lude is my inspiration. Haaah

Maybe what you need to do is loosen it from the intake manifold and turn it a few degrees clockwise, or counter clockwise...or just wiggle it around...Not sure. Did you tighten the little rubber bushing thing down on the bottom, where the intake attaches to the car, near the filter?

Yes it is, but its not worth anything near 50 grand. 25 or 30 maybe. This lady thats a client at the bank where I work has two...one she drives regularly (96 with about 50K on it. Her husbands is on a dolly in their garage, no tires, no fluids with under 100 miles on it. THAT may be worth around 30.

I know i already put a "FUTURE MODS" section in my thread, but I just wanted to update everyone on my current progress.

1) Tomorrow, my Type S VC is going on, new gasket and all.

2) D is supposed to be coming down this weekend to help me put on my new
two tone CF hood (Thanks WickedLude01), my newly-arrived Apexi WS2 catback and my Random Tech Cat.

3) Since my search for RSX Type S 17s has been a complete failure, I've been eyeballing some Borbet Type FS 17s (Edge has the same rims). (I swear to god I'm not trying to create an SH version of Edges Lude; his is way cleaner anyways).

4) Along with my Borbets, I'm going to be purchasing possibly the coolest looking street tires on the planet: BFGoodrich GForce KDW2's. Oh yea, and repainting my calipers black, as I said earlier.

5) My dad gave me this amazing idea when asking what my point of modding my car this much was. He suggested that if I'm going to be racing it any time, that I should buy some drag tires. So I was thinking about either straight slicks or drag radials. Probably Mickey Thompsons or BFG Drag Radials.

6) My Fidanza clutch and flywheel are going to be isntalled within the next few weeks. I want to give them plenty of time to break it before the cam work in the spring.

So there it is. Besides all my engine work coming in the spring, this is what I wanna get done before the big NY meet. think its do-able?:smile:

I paid about 115-120 each. I like them alot, mostly because theyre adjustable to a certain extent. I wanted to get my hands on some DC's but they don't make them anymore. Check out wickedlude01's for sale thread. I believe he may have front and rear DCs still available. The front bar is blue, so it would match your car better than red would. Check it out. I'm sure he would let you have them both for 200, but don't quote me.

They basically increase the efficiency and responsiveness of the engine...and they look damn good. So...theres no noticeable power gain but i hear its like 1-2 hp.

There are no HP "gains" from changing out your wires.
You may get some HP back that was lost from inefficient burn because there isn't enough current reaching the plugs.
Getting wires that are sufficiently shielded from electromagnetic radiation helps to ensure the car's electronic systems aren't misguided. (ex. fuel injection system, etc.)

Any plugs, or plug wires that advertise brighter sparks, or claim they provide more power above stock, are full of it. Don't trust them. Its just a gimic.
If you buy cheap wires, that aren't properly shielded, they can cause problems. This is not the case with non-FI engines.

Little quasi-update...I went to Honda to get one of the little rubber washers that go on the valve cover (If you look closely at the VC pic, the right front washer is gone...) I lost it in the engine bay. Anyways, I bought one....SEVEN BONES! for something not even as big as a quarter! AH. Never lose those things. Laame

To Prelude24: I bought them at BoomPlusToys.net (Canadian site, right up your alley...they hardly spoke english) Now, before you go snoopin for them, be warned. They cost about 300 bucks (not really worth that...theyre being held on there with "burn your skin off" glue because the sticky foam they came with SUCKS, for lack of a better word. Also...I ordered them in September....I got them in January...Helluva wait time. I had a lot of trouble getting in touch with anyone until then...and by the time they did...the "I don't speak English" guy, said, in broken frenglish that they had been shipped...I went home...and they had been sitting in my garage for a week. Back to the point. If you feel you must sell your soul to the Canadians...go right ahead. But I wouldn't recommend it.

So, is your hood just two-tone painted OEM? Or is it carbon-fiber? I'd like to get a carbon fiber hood and have it painted two tone like yours... but I don't know how difficult it is to paint CF

it's two tone CF...I bought it from wickedlude01...and I love it. It moves up and down a little bit at highway speeds when i get behind another car, but other than that, it's awesome.

I'm not sure how they go about painting something like that, but I'm a reputable body shop wouldn't have any trouble painting it two tone.

No, rice is when you glue paperclips to your hood and think they make your car fast. You'd be using them for their intended purpose.

You did, actually. thanks for making me wanna actually get into it. I thought it was gonna be more difficult...All I did was tape the whole thing off with masking tape, use the back of my exacto knife to imprint the shape of the H, and then exacto'd it out and painted it. White primer + red caliper paint = ameezing.:biggrin:

what up pooponurhead. i need to know if you ran into any problems when doin your suspension set up. i have KYB AGX's also and everyone is telling me that they will not fit my SH. KYB lists them as fitting 92-01 preludes excluding 97-01 SH. i also have the EIBACH PROKIT for my lude. i had a base then wrecked it and bought my SH so i have these nice shiny new spring and shocks that have never been installed and my SH is achin to be dropped.

Did you buy the shocks and springs originally for your Base? I think the KYBs are made universally for the SH and the Base, but you wont be able to put Base springs on them...it aint gonna work yo.

But, other than, dropping my car *literally* and destroying my side skirt, and having an axle fall out...and my friend almost cutting hit finger off helping me...it was a pretty uneventful drop. Good luck.:lalala:

Just be patient. Spend some time on ClubRSX.com and you'll find some. You gotta find 'em at the right time. I got a decent deal on mine (740 shipped from SoCal with brand new Michelins). So it's all a matter of how much you're willing to "wheel and deal" with people, no pun intended. Hang in there, if you want them bad enough, you'll get them sooner or later. It took me about 3 months to get a hold of some. So don't worry.
