short ram vs. cold air

whats the diffrence between short ram intake and a cold air intake?

short ram will give u more low end power. cold air is located away from the engine bay so its suposed to bring in colder air and will give u more high end power. but if the short ram intake filter is next to the battery (on 4th or 5th gen) it doesnt seem to get hot. i'mve had both AEM CAI and AEM V2. i rather have short ram. hope that helps u out.
