the speedometer seems to only work when the car is warmed up. (usually after 20 minutes). its at 0 then jumps right back up to the speed im going?? also its idlling funny, it will be reveing by itself up and down between 1000 and 2500 rpm. can anybody make any suggestions on what the causes of both of these might be and how to fix it?

Speedo needs changing.

And you have an Si or DX? In other words fuel injected or carbureted.

this is for a fuel injected 86 prelude. it's the whole cluster. $30 shipped. can't beat this price.

damn, i would totally be all over that gauge cluster! as far as the revving, i beleive it has something to do with the idle air control valve. someone said on the other board, that if you took the top off of it, and stuffed a marble in it, then it would quit revving up and down like that.
