License suspension idk?

Apparently i went to court to fight a ticket i got in august (if anyone remembers that post), so anyway i go to court, the judge doesn't even bother listening to me. So he tells me i have 100$ fine to pay, he mentions driving defense court to the cop but he's talking to ****ing low i can barely hear him so i don't know if he was talking to me. So then i hear the word suspension, but he gives my license back to me. So im pissed off i walk out of there, i go to the place they send me to pay the fine. After i pay the fine i got my license back, so um is my license suspended? I don't even know if theres a way to check, can someone help me out please

i think they take it from u if it is suspended. b.c my g.f had hers suspended and she had to go to the dmv to get a new one

Ok called the dmv, i didn't want to call the one in staten island, i called the one in manhatten. I told the guy the story of what happened this morning and he said that if my license was suspended they would have held it. Seeming that i payed the 100$ though, my license isn't suspended thats why i got it back, just to make sure before i go out driving, you guys think thats true?

Yeah they take it away at the spot i think he said (the judge) if u don’t pay it or get another ticket ill get suspend it. That’s what happen w/ me one time :(

Your lucky I have a co worker at Auto Zone that was kind of road rage in, you know the jerk that cuts you off sort of thing. Well he sped up and the other car was paying attention to co worker instead of the car in front of him and wrecked, well my co worker didn't stop (one would think fender bender I wasn't involved) Dead wrong, they got his licence plate and the next day he was arrested for Felony Street Racing they took his car spent 3 months in jail and still has a suspended licence for three years. Don't get a court appointed attorney spend the cash and get a good lawyer my co worker got screwed and just because he was over 18 years old the other kid was a minor. I think the other kid wasn't even charged maybe Inproper Driving.

Your License isn't always taken away when its suspended. For one your license can get suspended Just by not paying a ticket within thirty Days. After the 30 days they suspend it and dont' contact you so therefore they can't take it away.

Also some states use licenses as a form of identity so they don't take it away because then you can't use it for other purposes.

True, some are given back and told your on a limited driving suspension, like to and from work and grocery store only kind of deals. Which people take for granted until they get popped for speeding after hours and then try to make an excuse for why they were out riding around.

Driving is still a prevledge not a right. So be careful

Keep proof of the fine being paid.

That way if things get screwed up on their end you don't end up paying it again. I know of people that have had it happen to them like that.
