Hey guys, painted my calipers this weekend...I'm not sure if I'm satisifed...might try black...but excuse the dirty car, its been threatening to rain for the past week...and has a few times. But yea, enjoy, if ya want.

Blue ain't bad on silver. Black or silver would probably look better IMO. I painted mine silver on my 5g and it looks good behind the black rims but I'm still tempted to paint them black. The calipers on my 4g are red and they look good too.

Yea...It was either blue or black...Plus, my whole motif, if you will, is blue...Blue LEDs up front (till the federales caught me, soon to come blue valve cover, blue, and blue NGK wires. Kinda have a theme going, at least i think i do...I still might strip them back down, prime them this time, and then go black. Not sure how i feel about the Blue..They'll work for now. Till I get bored.:cool:

Well you do have the whole clean look going, I'm going more for sleeper (Which is why I took my lip off). Are you painting the VC blue or getting a OEM blue top?

I went for the JDM Blue one. As it turns out, nobody has any JDM blues.. Every company I've talked to have them all on backorder from Japland. I ordered mine from BoomPlusToys...and they said it was going to be here in about December or January...LAAAAME. But its fine. I can wait.:rolleyes:

Red calipers are amazing on any car color,
Except! a red car, on a red car thats too much red for me, at that point i would go black,
I.E. my car, its just, i hated doing the braking system so much, i dare not touch the setup until i have to next!

I was gonna go red on my SS cuz it matched the '61 crossflag emblems on it....but i decided for gloss black...Back to the point...
I think I like the blue. Ill see how it goes. Thanks for the feedback fellas.:smile:

my car is red, and i also painted my calipers red. since i do have black rims, it looks really good.

I dont know man...red on red seems a little much. But hey, to each is own. With black rims I'm sure it works out nicely...I think when I get my powerslot rotors and Hawk pads, I might strip the calipers down and prime them, and then go with more blue, maybe a little brighter. I dont know. We shall see. BTW Chillz, where can I find some more pics of your car. Wanna check that **** out.:burnout:

yo i really like the blue...i drive a silver lude im im goin all blue as well...did u jus take the tires off n paint them like that?

any way i bought high temp blue pant for the engine u think i could use that for my calipers with credit given to u on each tire :) ? or did u buy caliper paint at a local auto store?

Kozmo, it was the 1200deg paint from Advance Auto. I know, 1200 is a little overkill, but whatever. Its all they had.

I'll be doing them black in about 2 months when I get my new rims and tires.
