Since I'm at sort of an empasse until monday (when I can get a fuel pump from IMC or the dealership), I took some time to clean up my Si calipers and STB's:

DupliColor high-heat engine primer, high-heat aluminum (shinier than any of the "chrome" paints I've ever seen), and the calipers have a clear red on top of that that I hope doesn't burn off from the heat :D. It's hard to tell from the photos, but it's sort of a candy red look.

anyone know if there's gonna be any issues bolting Si rotors and calipers onto the S knuckle?

I had the calipers out, anyway, so I was able to do it that way. The calipers that are currently in the car, I painted on the car, right over the dirt :D I didn't even mask anything off. I was changing the rotors anyway, so I just sprayed the calipers and got paint all over the rotors, then changed them :D

If you ask me, thats the way to do it... You just have to do it like... every 3 months or so.. lol

All I used was indoor/outdoor enamel paint and it worked fine. Calipers never really get that hot (unlike rotors :P)

you're better off buying high temp paint and doing it that way. those kits are a ripoff

Looks good, now get an artists paint brush and paint the "NISSIN" black to highlight it.

I used dupli-color caliper painting kit when I upgraded to my Legend calipers so I had them off for awhile and took my time and they still look freshly painted after two months.

S and SI calipers, brackets, pads, and rotors are identical. It's the VTEC that has the bigger brakes. And good job on getting paint on the piston and dust boot

Dude, It's a 3rd gen, so no VTAK, and because of this there is a difference between the S and Si!

no he means, will the 3rd gen Si calipers, brackets, pads, and rotors bolt right up to the S setup. his car was once S model. AND for your information, you can fit 4th gen vtec rotors onto a 3rd gen. :-P

i know the Vtec brakes will fit on a 3rd gen i was thinking about doing this but if you read the post i quoted by invadertrax then you can see that he says...

on a 3rd gen the S and Si brake setup is not the same and being that there is no Vtec model of the 3rd gen then it can be assumed that he invadertrax was thinking that the car that this was being done to is a 4th gen, so i was just informing him that it was a 3rd gen. So no schooling was done here just miscomprehension of sentences!!!
