so Im driving around a place I used to run to see exactly how far I was running. I used to run around the same few blocks two ir three times sometimes, so I passed around the first time second time around I get bored rev up 1st gear 2nd a little and coast in 3rd( cause its residential don't wanna speed) I was doing maybe 35 at most. Ya I know that still speeding.. I guess my car is loud cause when I turn the corner this big fat ole man runs out infront of my car yelling, "SLOW THE F*** DOWN!!!" now keep in mind I was only doing 30 and it was the other street I was doing 35 on. So he purposely runs infront of my car trying to make me hit him. Man you shoulda seen him and his fat self try and run infront of me XD. This guy was a moose holy crap, if I woulda hit him I woulda been looking for a new car. I swerved around the retard, he tried running where I swerved good thing he is fat, then he tried to kick my car haha he missed. I was kinda mad, then scared he was gonna chase me down in his truck I saw parked out front(indication to how slow I was going, I could easily see his house and details), then after being a ways away. I laughed and it seemed freaking hilarious how some guy risked his life to try and cuss me out..how dumb is that... I can understand maybe he had a bad experience or lost someone to street racing, but god just cause my cars loud and red and well damn sexy and sporty doesn't mean I'm racing around residentials in it.. I think he was trying to get me to hit him so he could sue me or somthing, think about 16 yr old with a red sporty prelude VS. 40 yr old fat man with "injuries" and "mental angiush" from lost ones.
I just wanna say I'm not trying in anyway to offend anyone who lost a loved one to street racing, drunk drivers, or just plain idoit drivers. My sorrow goes out to you.

this guy use to always yell at me to slow the f@#* down! when i had my red 92 prelude. it was at this one little turn and i'd usually be going the speed limit he'd just scream as loud as he could and would flip me off. i guess it sounded like i was flyin by b/c i had a ricer exhaust. it pissed me off the first few times it happened but then i just started to smile and wave at him!

XD Thats funny.
funny thing for me is I have a stock exhuast, so.. It's not that loud, at high rpms it's all motor niose.
The corner I take at the speed limit( and more occasionally, it's a fun corner)
The guy that lives by it owns an NSX and thinks 3rd gen preludesare amazing so he doesn't care as long as I don't plow into his NSX.

yea, one day I had a guy come up to my car in traffic.. He got out of his truck.. knocked on my window.. asked me if i had a ****ing problem, I guess he thought I cut him off when I weaved through traffic, but I certainly didnt come close enough to make him brake.. and didnt stay in front of him for much more than maybe 15-20 feet. The light turned green and I burned out with him standing next to my car, left him in a cloud of burnt rubber... it was great
Well it all boils down to respect, I guess yeah they might seem a bit crazy for whatever reason, but these people are older and for whatever reason it upset them. I just think its nice to respect their concern and try not to do it next time.
As for taking corners at speed limit that is still wreckless endangerment and punishable. I remember a little girl that lived right beside us growing up was out to get the mail, you know the mailbox across the street from the house (never understood that) well she was out in the road it was clear when she crossed but the guy in the car was traveling way too fast for the curve he was probably in the speed limit range but this was a 90 degree turn onto a residentual roadway. Anyways long story short it killed the little girl and the driver was never fined. Wheres the justice in that?
Its almost like in Germany the autobahns I lived in Germany for three years, yeah right drive as fast as you want to, no speed limit. Well you don't know how wrong you are. There are speed limits matter of fact around cities and such they are enforced with extreme prejudice. Now once out of the city limits on the Autobahns they stay the same speed limit but not enforced (enforced has a red circle around the speed limit not enforced has a grey circle around it). However if you are in an accident considering how much more out of the recommended speed limit you are puts you more to blame or are responsible for.
Really doesn't matter the speed limit more about the driving conditions thats why we have yellow recommended signs for curves and such to better help the driver be cautious of an unexpected curve or obstruction in the roadway.
Please if you want to race go to the track, I know of all sorts of places even fun road courses you can take your car to on track days and run it out as fast as you want.
