Hey guys...got my new Momo Cobra shift knob. Check it...Stay tuned for the inevitable question...

Now heres where the problem is...

The boot is detached....any suggestions?

i LOVED it until i noticed the boot slipage,
hmm, ive got no ideas, dont glue it haha

otherwise AWESOME!

zip tie... or put it on correctly... #2 takes more effort, but works better... Start by taking the stock mounting part off the actual boot and sliding it up in the connecting portion of the new shifter.

I KNOW!!! I loved it until I installed it and noticed that it wasnt connected...Dang. Dont worry...I wouldnt dream of gluing it. :smile:

Wait...I did it wrong? Dangit. Okay...typed explanations dont really work for me...can you clarify a little more?

I tried to take the stock mounting thing off...but i dont wanna damage my boot. How would i do that safely?

i got the same thing, i have a streetglow shoft knob, the only reason its like that is because the 5th gen shift knob are boxed out, those are circular in the bottom, the only reason i really dont have a problem, is because my horn on the steering wheel isn't connected, i have a button on the side of the shift knob, thats held by 2 screws, so i wrap that on the shift knob, and the boot, and wallha....bwhahahaha

I have the momo shot carbon fiber knob. it looks better. and I like the slippage in the boot.
