Ok, so i went to the nj meet today and as soon as i got out of my car this guy comes up to me and asks me if i wanted to by a Greddy exhaust off him... his car was in a flood and he took off a few things from his car and is trying to sell them. So i just wanted to know whether $300 is good for an Greddy exaust? i dont know exactly what kind it is but he got it like a month ago for like $600. and would the flood do anything to the exhaust? Actually the guy might be on this forum, idk... as you can tell i dont know much about this stuff so help would be appreciated...
by the way i have a 5th gen

Greaddy sounds f'en great your friend is on something and yeah depending on the condition of the exhaust 300 is a great price for it.

first of im not 100% on this but i put my .02 in on it but water wont hurt metal that much as long as its not been in and out or siting in it to long i mean look ur brakes they get wet for a lil bit then dry and only have a lil bit of rust so look at them if you can and see what it looks like on the inside

well if it is the greddy evo then it should be fine the only thing that could be messed up is the packing in the muffler ( its made of cotton and fiberglass ) so depending on how long it was under water might have an effect on the life of the packing its self. find out the model the greddy cat back is and ill or some one else will give you more info on it rusting out or not.

I just called him today and he told me its not the Evo but the Greddy SP2... see i dont really know the difference but he told me it was the quieter one. He said its still like brand new and doesnt even have a scratch on it from the rain. Is $300 good?

We have sound clips in the 4th gen resource guide...

I LOVE the SP2...i dislike the Greddy Evo...

Here is a sound clip of the SP2 off a 5th gen(I'm at the wheel  ):

I would examine the exhaust system thoroughly before making a purchase...the muffler could be ruined...

i think my sp2 sounds pretty sick, and my friends crx was under water a few weeks ago and he said his exhaust sounded a little off afterwords but it still worked perfectly and now it sounds same as before

Evo2 and SP2 are GREAT. The SP2 is a little quieter since it's a twin loop but the Evo2 is a nice low tune but is kinda loud since it is straight through.

so is 300 a good price... if not, how much do you think it should go for?

darn, I have a BRAND NEW Evo2 Greddy catback for 4th gen. I love this setup the Evo2 is by far the best sounding exhaust on the preludes in my opinion. I'm still trying to get rid of it though.
