Hey boys and girls...Im sure this is probably pointless...but whatever.
When my Jun Stage 1 cam kit (with the optional retainers), Cam Gears, Greddy EvoII, and High Flow Cat get installed....what kinda numbers are we lookin at here...? Any ideas are welcome. Also, any other suggestions are definitely welcome. Thanks.

Well man thats a good way to spend over 2 grand lol
what other mods do you have that will help. they by them selfs should make like 15 whp when tuned if not more
you could have saved alot of cash and bought the brain crower stage 2 cams ( they are bigger and the other 1500 bucks you could have got a pp head)

JUN > Crower
Just because they are bigger doesnt mean they will make more power. You've got compression, head flow and supporting mods to aid in making a camshaft decision. Your not gonna get any real power without tuning. good luck.

Okay...Im kinda torn between the Crower and Jun...Crower has the good price and Jun seems to have the power...
Now with tuning...and the JUN cam kit...what kinda power could we possibly be lookin at...basically all i wanna know is, will i be able to take my brothers Cobalt SS/SC...?(only has an intake, but knocked out a 14.7)
btw anyone know of any good tuners in MD VA DC area?

But hey, i took the job of modding the lude, gotta live with it.
I just need to find a tuner thats not a million gajillion miles away. blah:sigh:

14.7 is pretty slow for a Cobalt SS anyway............those things will go LOW 14's at damn close to 100mph with any kind of decent driver.
Hell, they weigh a bit less than a 5th gen, and make 210+ whp BONE STOCK.
Not to mention, a simple pulley swap and PCM tune and they run 13's easy........

Yea, my brother isnt a very good driver at all. Ive raced him twice in the Impala. And waxed him both times cuz he couldnt stop bouncin off the limiter going into 2nd. He was paying too much attention to the 2 ton land yatch that was walkin his ass.
Heres what it sounded like...
Screech...WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH....**CHOKE**
And all he saw was tail lights...End of story.
I must admit though, hearing that supachaaaaga whining beside you is a bit intimidating.
Wait...my friend (fellow MD Luder) told me about this guy who is a "great tuner" and he really "knows his Hondas", but he doesnt have a dyno:ugh: Is it possible to get a good tune without a dyno?

there are MUCH better cams. I am running the stageII's and the power output is meh....could be better. I feel they will do better with higher compression.
stock block, i would run the Skunk2 Pro1

Found them...I still wanna retain my good mileage. I dont want anything thats gonna kill my mileage or something where im gonna need to do extensive upgrading. All i want are cams, springs, retainers and thats about it right now. Ill save the big stuff for later.
I found the Tuner series stage 1. Dont want anything TOO extreme. But i guess i should listen to the engineer.

meh, im not doing engineering anymore, just too lazy to change it.
but i'm not fool with the h22. And i will add that you will never be happy with the performance of an aftermarket camshaft unless you tune the engine with something like NepTune or Hondata.

Okay. update...well, update with a question.
Found the Pro1 cams and the recommended Titanium Retainers...but couldnt find any Pro Series Valve Springs on Skunk2...Maybe i just missed it...but more than one pair of eyes is always better than just one.
i know this is probably getting irritating since im about as indecisive as a rich teenage girl.:smashfreakB:
Also...have i covered everything under the "recommended pro-series valve-train" section? Thanks:redface:
