Not sure if this falls under interior, but oh well...its involving the INTERIOR of the trunk. Okay. here goes. I installed my Tanabe strut bars a few weeks ago, and i wasnt aware, when i first started the install, that the trunk liner would have to be cut so the bar would go in...Now, i didnt do a very good job in my cutting...so i have these hideous holes in my trunk liner...any ideas as to how i could make those holes look a little better. I did have one idea...and ill attempt to explain it...

I was think about getting two rubber cupholders, or some cylindrical shape with about a 1/4 inch lip...and cut the bottom of them out so theres just about a half inch of cylinder left, and the lip on the top. And then i would even the holes in the liner up a little bit, so the cylinder would fit in and voila! snazzy little access holes...Does that make any sense? Or am i crazy?

yea makes perfect sense. Check the diameter of the cupholders and go back in and cut the hole more circle like, if its not already, keeping it a little smaller than the diameter of the cupholder. Take your time with this, you can always cut a little more but you cant exactly put any back.

one more idea you can try, is something 4runner owners do to do their own intakes. We use a marine tool called a deckplate.

This is a deckplate: http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/120699/377%20710/0/deckplate/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/0/0?N=377%20710&Ne=0&Ntt=deckplate&Ntk=Primary%20Search&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Nao=0&Ns=0&keyword=deckplate&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=5000&subdeptNum=24&classNum=12946

Which you can also find in black and with a clear center screw in cap.

Here is the mod we did to the 4runner that you would follow these steps except in your trunk: http://www.yotatech.com/f130/deckplate-mod-75169/

I guess it's all according to how big your holes are. The cupholder idea sounds great, or if the holes are small enough you might be able to find a rubber grommet to mod into the hole.
