Last night without thinking i just started backing out of my driveway... forgot my friends black car was kinda behind me... put a nice scrape all the way from my rear bumper to most of my passenger door... some dents... paint.. nothing structural
Still pissed me off for being a dumbass.. it was a pretty noob move...
Its 9am.. and I'm gonna go put on a hoodie.. and start sanding... and bondo-ing in the dents... get some honda red spray paint and make it look decent again
I figure the spray paint will make it look better than the dents and scrapes, even if its not the same shine

Well, I got a rear fender made of bondo... and i tried to paint it and the paint totally doesnt match... and i guess i painted too fast, when i took up the tape it peeled...
Sooooooo I have three options...
1. sand it in a few days and try again
2. sand it, fix the bondo (its not perfect) and get it painted as cheap as i can
3. sand the car, paint it all one color, but doing a clear coat in my driveway will not result in a shine... so it would probably end up matte black
Whatcha think?
retry my red
get it painted red
paint it matte black

Heres the progress, think I got most of the dents out, and bondo'd what I couldnt get out, sanded off the paint scrapes, hopefully I can get around to repainting it soon. When its all said and done it's going to be black, tomorrow hopefully I can get a thin layer of bondo over all of the current bondo, and sand it with a real fine grit paper, get it all prepped for paint

It looks like a lot, but its actually pretty thin, the thickest part is the big patch over the back wheel, had to rebuild that sweep to the fender coming out from the car.
Thanks for saying I did good work though, compliments fuel car nuts to do things better.

yea mine is 434 after tax for the whole car... thats just integrated clear coat and black, no openings.. they told me its 100 per opening... also the guy told me it would cost me 50 to get them to take my spoiler off, but if i take it off theres no charge difference between them painting it on the car or off... luckily i brought my trusty ratchet with me!!
And I took out all the lights.. and the vents in the front, if I got them here there is zero percent chance of overspray on them, plus I make sure they get in the areas behind them so there wont be any red showing through! Hell I took everything off, antenna, lights, vents, washer nozzles, emblems, the works!
