.. are amazing.
I just got a pair of 9006 halogens from Sylvania.. it was $37 for the pair and really worth it. I already had semi decent lighting.. (GE bulbs not sure if they're stock or not).. but this are a much brighter white and light up the road very well.. plus it just looks sexier. A much much much cheaper alternative to HIDs.
The difference is enough to make me want new clear corner bulbs.. the old ones are really yellow now.
I'll try to post pics of both sets to show the difference.
Once I get my paycheck im going to get the high beams too.. anyone know what they are?
Also, I got a Megan header and installed it.. $50.. not bad. I'll get some pics of that too. I love the mid range torque on it. Plus there's a little leak due to no gasket and it sounds mean.
To anyone who saw my smoked taillights thread, I'm sorry I didn't post pics.. it just looked too bad. If I did it right, it would look alright, but.. eh.

Yeah I put those on both of my cars. The audi's headlight lens design is so ****ty it doesn't matter what kind of bulbs I put in there, but at least they're white :D
They make the best damn 6054 sealed beams I've ever seen, though. After I put them on my prelude, I wondered how I could have ever lived without them :D
oh... isn't this in the wrong forum?

I have sylvania silverstars in my 5th gen. they've been in for two years and they're great. I've heard complaints from other people about them, but I love em.

Those silverstars are unreliable.
My friends all had them, they all raved that it was the "shiet." After 3 months or so, they burn out ASAP.
Recently my h4 Polarg bulbs blew, but I know the reason why.
I was seriously thinking about getting those silverstars, but then decided im going to get PIAA's or Polargs again.
Jeeez are these h4's expensive.
Right now im back to my h6 sealed halogens.
Nasty 3500 kelvin...

I've had the same pair of Silverstars for almost two years now. I think the reason why they blow alot is because people are touching the glass part of the bulb with their fingers, that's a no no with most bulbs.

That's what I was thinking. Without knowing it, you may touch the bulb and that shortens the life by sooo much.. when I installed mine I made sure not to touch the bulb and so far they've been good.. *knock*

I wear latex glove when working on my car, especially when installing any type of bulb. The oils from your skin cause a concentration of heat at the spot which you touched the bulb, causing it to burn out. Don't fault the bulbs, they're great.

Just had one burn out the 2 days ago, it lasted about 1.5 years. I just put my standard H1's back in.

I used Silver Star's on my black JDM 1 piecer's and there AWESOME. I've had them installed in the car for over 2 yrs or so now and they still didn't burn out. Now given I haven't drove the car in about 6months but when I would go and work on it I would check everything out and the bulbs are still going strong...
+1 for S.S.'s
