D'oh. Was about to bash the window open with a hammer this morning because I was in a hurry to get to work, then my mom woke up and gave me a ride.

Gonna try wedging open the top rear corner of the door and getting in there with a coat hanger to hit the lock. But those lock switches are pretty stiff. Don't know if a coat hanger will be able to do it. Or maybe I can reach the window crank...

Any other tricks for breaking into 3g's? Can the trunk be opened somehow? I've got a few little cousins and sibling that are small enough to send in through the trunk to open the door for me :D

Go for the trunk release with the coathanger? Or risk bending stuff and pull the edge of the window far back, if yer hand/arm is skinny, you'll be able to just reach in.

if you take a friends honda key, and shave it down.. wont it open any honda? i think i read that somewhere lol. if all else fails, call AAA we just opened my sisters 4runner for free but that is because we have a membership. just tell them you have the title inside.

The windows are all the way up, and the bird is in the shelter :(

well we need to devise a plan to snatch that bird and then have him crawl through the ventilation system to then squeeze through the dash and come out the other size victorious

hey this kinda screws your plans of working on your car huh? :D

Im sure by now you have opened your car.

If you havent, use a metal coat hanger. Bend it so it forms two parallell lines. At the tip, bend it in a L shape.
Insert in between frame and window. 1 more person is suggested to help.

With patience, you will open your car.

No, im no car theif just because im from NY.

Your other option? call a Locksmith, let him open it. Pay the $$ and live with peace of mind.

I got it open :D I used a prybar to wedge the top rear corner of the door open far enough to stick a steel rod in with a hook bent into the end. With my grandpa on the other side of the car navigating for me, I was able to hook the lock and unlock the door :D

And then proceeded to swap all the wiring :D Some good solid progress made today.

Just wondering, last time I locked myself outta my 3rd gen, I couldnt get it open with a slimjim for the life of me..

Is this due to the design of the lock rods? Or my pathetic skills? :P

I heard preludes in general were hard to jimmy. When my buddy got us locked out of his '97, the locksmith did it pretty much the same way I did.

I've never successfully slimjimmed a slide lock like that, though. Only pop-ups.

i locked my keys in a truck i use to have.
i busted the small vent window, small window = small replacement cost.
