ok so i'd really love to turbo my 3rd gen but i dont have the money but i think i've found a real good deal on a garret turbo. all that i know about it is it came off of a sabb 9-5 turbo, has about 15k miles on it, and the fact that its only $125 and the guy says price is negotiable. but at the same time im not sure if the turbo is still for sale bcuz it was posted back in may. and like i said there is no telling when i'd actually have the money to do a turbo build but at the same time i know these things take time. i have a 3rd gen lude w/ a stock b21a1 and i want to swap it for a b20a or a b20a5 if i was to do a turbo build. soo... wat should i do?

1- IF the turbo was in good shape, you would stilll need a:
manifold
downpipe/dumptube
wastegate
BOV
IC
IC piping
injectors
oil lines
gauges
fuel pump
and SOME sort of engine management.
which is 2G's at LEASTTT!!!

2- theres no tellling how long an x-mileage engine will last while under boost. its basically all a crap-shoot. it could last x+1, or x+1,100,000,000,000, it alllll depends on the tune.

yeah i know i'd have to get all the other stuff and i know its not cheap. but its something i'd love to have... a turbo 3g... because there arent any i've seen around where i live or anywhere... im sure somebody out there has one but i've never seen one... but i'll probably just wait until i get a job and make some money so i can save it and maybe a deal like that will come up again... but thanks for the addvice!..
