hokay so here is what's going down. I am going to be comming into some money really soon, so i decided to dump it into my car. most of it going turbo.
This is what I'm looking to do as far as turbo and engine build.
Buying used jdm H22 to build
Darton Sleeves
JE 9.0:1 pistons
Golden eagle H-beams
ARP heavy duty head studs
Greddy RS BOV
Greddy 31V Intercooler
Greddy Intercooler piping
Greddy Profec B Spec II
Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump
Greddy oil catch can
injectors?
Hondata s300?
ok so i want to go obd1 but i don't know if it is legal in PA? It needs to pass inspection an everything.
2. what all do i need to use hondata, i've heard rumors it doesn't come with everything to get it set up.
3. If it can what all do i need to go obd1
4. I want to know what most of you guys are running with what turbo?
What mani should i get?
5. also if i left anything out that would be great if you could fill me in. what size injectors?

thats a SOLID build you got goin there!!! not cutting any corners and going with quality parts right off the start; what i like to see
how much power are you planning on making? that will determine your injector size, turbo size, IC size (to an extent), etc etc.
not really sure on the hondata question tho.
do you wanna keep PS and/or AC?? this will determine what kinda mani you can use
your also missing:
-wastegate (go with tial, handsdown)
-downpipe and/or dumptube. this is gonna hafta be custom, unless the place you get teh mani from can make your DP also.
-connectors, t-bolt clamps
-air filter
-oil line kit (stealthmodeperformance.com)
-gauges (boost, oil pressure, EGT...)
-wideband

not a bad setup ideally. I would look a bit higher compression(9.5-10) because you have enough sense to suggest tuning right off the bat with the S300...
I highly reccommend the S300. Go ahead and throw the boost by gear components in there and call it a day with everything controlled by the S300. I would also reccommend you save some space for a wideband O2 sensor.
Injectors, 750 or up... Just easier for when you want more power.
Theres alot of small parts your going to need and once you get head over heels into it, just ask then. One big thing I would like to say, go with the h23 manual tensioner...
Is this going in the car your username suggests, or a prelude? More details there please.

It is all on your Hp goal!!!!
1. Sleeves go with AEBS Sleeves and you will never regret it.
2. 9:0 or 9:1 is just fine.
3. For H-series You would rather spend little more money on the rods.. it will not hurt you in the long run!! Crower billet or Patuer rods.
4. ARP headstuds are just fine.. just make sure you torque it to 90lb or you could go with Half inch studs lol
5. Far as the turbo kit, If you know a shop that you really TRUST, have them custom fabricate for you!!! Saves more money and looks lot better with Stainless Steel w/ TIG weld!!!. and Turbo get neither SC61 or garret T3/60-1 w/ .82ar housing w/ Stage 3 wheel. The best turbo for STREET!!!
6. don't never ever get Eletronic Boost controller .. I give thumps down.
7. Injectors, it depends what kind of horsepower you would like to have... Remember H-series are torque monsters.. which mean DRINK ALOT OF FUEL. 255 is just fine by the way.
8. Yes, S300 is way to go. They do not provide P28 or P72 ECU so your going to find one and have one of HONDATA dealers install it for you and tune it also. All you have to do is.. get OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness.
9. yes Tial Waste gate!!! 3bar mapsensor. downpipe go w/ 3' and dumptube have custom made.
and cple misc. parts.
BTW- If you like to use boostcontroller or boost by gear just like other guy said.. I say dont use neither one. Manual Boost controller is the BEST or if you want to spend lil more money on a boost controller, go with AMS NLR-1000 the BEST Boostcontroller in the MARKET. But you would also have to find a tuner that tunes that boostcontroller.

agreed on higher compression. Its ok JTC, everyone will overlook your post. We've had this discussion already.
