So im driving home from jersey, on the staten isl expressway, so traffic is really slowing down, yesterday i almost hit a car because on a highway he came to a complete stop, so i tryed to avoid the same situation today. So i ended up getting off the exit because traffic was coming to a complete stuff from the highway, so i get off exit 13 (if anyone knows) so i get off, there were NO SIGNS i saw, so im coming off the highway gradually slowing down, light is green, go straight then...........................BOOM, car dips down, the guy i bought it from had skunk2 springs so the car was lowered, and all i saw was smoke. I turned off the car turned on the emergency lights n pulled up the emergency break. opened the hood real quick, and a cloud of smoke was in my face. The oil pan or whatever cautious thing is in front of the engine with the hand and the line, well anyway that was pushed down, so my oil pan was pushed back, all oil was everywhere. Now after an 1hr, my dad finally finds me and after another half hour we said to ourselves we have to get this car out of here, so put the car on neutral going down hill, then my dad helping me push it, long story short, after 2 hours AUXILLARY cops came, helped us out (btw 4 cop cars passed by 1 stopped but didnt do ****), a guy heard on the cop radio sayin we need a tow, he came helped me out and now my car is sitting in front of the mechanics shop. I cant wait to see his face in the morning when he sees my car there. Well thats my story and my poor lude...:frown:

damn dude that sucks. so like.. did your suspension explode causing the nose to slam onto the ground? or you dunno yet?


trust me, we've ALLL been thru situations like that. but thru thick and thin, there's no other car i'd rather be driving (well, maybe an LS7 '09 camaro, but thats a diff story)

i second that lol, anyway um really i don't know yet, i asked one of the officers for a flash light and when i looked underneath the car all i saw noticeable was the front plastic ripped off and the hole were the oil leaked out of, other then that i saw oil all in the bottom of the car

Ok sorry for not posting any recent news, so ok after i left my car in front of the mechanics shop, got a call next day, mechanic automatically blammed me..so after they lift the car i see the plastic lift, everything is filled with oil, i bent some bars. So now today i rush out of school, my friend drives me to the mechanic and apparently i got a new oil pan, but the mechanic that does welding (bending etc..) went out to go buy a project car today in pennsylvania. (Triumph). So basically now he came back, i just got off the phone with my father and he won't have it ready till tormorrow. Now the funny thing is the parts he needed to bend back he had yesterday but they didn't even bother with it yesterday, so i had to wait for him to get back and wait for him to bend the parts which apparently "i bent my chassis" and if that was the case my cars engine would be on the floor when they lifted it up, since they took it off to bend it back, or there just bull****ting me and my father just to work on it later.

i wouldn't exactly feel safe driving my car knowing some of the structural pieces were "bent back to normal" :ugh:

despite dropping more money, i would go to a different mechanic that actually buys NEW parts instead of bending them back. i mean thats just me and my thinking.....

lol yeah no..it was the street i mean maybe a pothole was in the middle i dont know because now everytime my friend drives me home the street keeps getting more n more repaved. So anyway i go in today, i tell him i said is the car almost done? "We have to order a new engine harnest, it will be done in an hour and a half" (this was at 1:40). I come back around 4, i see them starting up my car, my battery was dead for "SOME" reason, so the guy tells me yeah were just going to check wheel alignment on the car and its all set. So supposedly now when they reversed it, there was an oil spot on the floor, now they put it on another lift, they scratch the bottom while trying to get it on the lift, 20 min of me standing there i find out that they didn't "PATCH" or something with the oil pan correctly, and my car will be ready tomorrow. I was so pissed, i mean they close at 6, they had 2 hours to do something right? and i mean the owner is a good friend of my fathers, i payed for overnight parts to be sent for my car so it can be ready YESTERDAY, now its going to be another day. And i work friday so basically all this week i been carless and stood home doing nothing..and also he only bent the parts back because he told my father he wants to "save me money". Meanwhile i talk to the mechanic i said "what's the damage?" he shakes his head up and down, meaning everytime they do that i wind up paying 3-600$

I'm not sure what insurance is like in the states, but I know here in Canada, that would be covered under comprehensive for your insurance... BUT you would want to pop in the stock suspension!

yeah supposedly my friend is trying to get me the original shocks,springs struts for 100$ i dont know if hes really telling the truth or not, other then that i got my car back, i need a new cat, and it rattles alot now..sucks, but my dad told me it will go away after u break in the car and let the heat get to it, so hopefully i can bring the car to how it use to be before the damn incident
