"Firstly, I'd like to thank those who voted for me. The fact that my car can even be thought of in the same breath as some of the previous ROTM winners is very satisfying, and very humbling.
I bought the car in October 2005, as a compromise between the two front-running choices, a 3-series BMW and a DC2 Type R. But since then, there hasn't been one day that I've thought of this as a compromise.
I'd always loved the shape, and on GranTourismo on the PlayStation the Type S Prelude was always the first expensive car that I bought.
I love my music, so the first thing I did was throw the Alpine Type R 12" sub, V12 amps and splits from my previous car in.
After that things stayed that way, until I got a phone call from a friend who said he was parting his car out; so I bought his strut brace, Type S valve cover, honeycombe grille, bodykit and Mugen spoiler. It was about that time that my foglights arrived from the US as well.
All that was painted and installed (except the Mugen wing, it's still on the garage floor at my parent's place, I'll install it soon, I swear!) and again, the mods stopped while I saved some more money. A JDM carbon dash insert was aquired and fitted, and the new stereo install featureing the trio of Polk Audio 8" subs was put together.
The latest mod has been the fitment of a set of 17x7 Lenso RC2 rims and Toyo tyres. However I'm on the verge of purchasing all the neccessary suspension components to lower the car to a less SUV like ride height, and of course the Mugen spoiler has to go on soon as well.
She's still far from finished, but for the moment anyway, I'm very happy with the way things have gone.
