ah ive always loved them, theres an 88 i wanna say, around the corner, which i beleive is an early gen, Special Edition, 105k on the motor, wants like 1 grand for it, and ahhhhhhhh even in its ****ty form its stilll really sexy, alot is missing which means its easier to install aftermarket, stereo, etc. etc.

Ah yes, it's a 10th Anniversary Edition, pretty rare dude. The 88's were the first year of the Series 5's. The turbo and N/A motors got an addition 20 hp from the previous year, slightly different nose, and different tail lights.

yeah, it was a consideration when we were getting a car for me,
it was th 200k Prelude, a Mazda 3 Speed, that SE RX-7 or a **** civic with no motor but nice interior,

i didnt wanna make popps buy a new car, nor did either of us have the patience or knoledge about hondas that we do now to fathom a drop.

so it was between the prelude and that rx7,
the guy with the rx7 wouldnt budge eventhough he knew ed have to rebuild it, and we ended up getting like 4 grand off of theprelude, and Honda loves us so we went with the lude. kinda wish i had the 7 though haha

The guy today with that 7 had a boosted GSR and hes the same way as me. Hondas are great for learning on and for a daily driver, but when you wanna make horsepower, rotary is the way to go, unless you want a Supra.

I had a friend with a fully built LS/Vtec frankenstein, and he had the same philosophy. He got rid of it because it was "too easy" to work on... he said it felt like a toy lol. He wanted an RX-7, but instead ended up buying a Typhoon.... now that is a bad ass truck lol. They're officially rated at 280hp with 360 ft-lb of torque, but usually end up making around 300 to the wheels bone stock...

Also, you ever see the RX-7 top speed run in the salt flats? It's a white rx7 hitting over 200mph and and then literally lifting off the ground and doing a backflip.... it looked like one of those cigarette boats.

Yeah i saw it. It's really sad. I saw a pic today of a red Fd that literally, drove up a tree. As if my day hasn't been bad enough, that about made me cry.
