There is some kind of mod you can do with the stock box. I would jkust put a K&N filter at the end of the tubing and calll it a day. Maybe prelude85 will add a write-up on it to the DIY section.

i already have a k&n replaceing the reg filter.....but its not quit what im lookin for....the regular air box is all twisted with s bends and it twists inbehind the engine...it looks fairly restrictive.

there is like 4 hoses that connect to the air box and tube from both sides of the car....maybe some of them arent needed i dont know.

you would have to drill out extra holes and put braze some hard line for vacuum ports. there are three vacuum hoses that connect to the air intake that come from the black brain box on the passenger side of the car. then there is the big port for the breather tube off the valve cover. that port is already on most aftermarket intakes. you could just us the one vacuum port but use a 3 port plastic fitting for the the lines. if that makes any sense.

I'm gonna write up a DIY for putting a Cold Air Intake / Short Ram Intake on 2nd gen's. As far as I can tell, i'm the only one who has been able to.
