I've seen it, not impressed. There won't ever be another Prelude. The name won't sell like Camaro or GTO. It's pretty much only popular among Honda people and others just see it as an overweight, underpowered car.

Yeah it was a contest a streetfire.net And Never say never. I've heard of a Honda concept thats supposed to come out in 2012. Here's the stats:

AWD
L6- Inline 6 (honda's first)
2-door coupe

Sounds like an experimental vehicle. Which is technically what the preludes were to honda. Everytime they wanted to try something they gave it to the Prelude guys across the hall. Tested it, If it was succesful they put it on everything from the s2000, nsx, even some integras. Hell the h22 wasn't even supposed to be ours. It was originally designed for the NSX, but Honda wanted more power and larger displacement for the car so they gave it to the prelude guys and said do what you want with it. On the later models they gave a complete head job added some higher compression pistons and called it the TYPE-S. So I don't see why They wouldn't come back out with it.

How many of you would ACTUALLY buy a 6th gen Prelude if one came out. I would pre-order one today if they told me it was coming out in 3 years. No questions asked. Prelude4Life.

i don think i would trade my lude for one.. for real.. no matter how much power they put into one, i still dont think i'd get one....well maybe if it came with turbo :biggrin:

I'd get one, simply cause I'd want it, but I hope they don't cause I can't afford it and then they'll be a whole new Honda war with those and the Civic Si and then eventually be more rice than ever before. I'd rather be able to keep my dignity in knowing my car is clear and there's no riced Ludes for miles and miles of me. Plus I'll have to dump more money in my car because with the exception of one truck I haven't raced yet, the Lude is the fastest car in my shcool's parking lot, and people would run and go get one cause they'd know these new ones would be faster and they'd just wanna beat me. That's why they've gone and gotten 300ZX's and Mustangs with V6's cause they think the displacement will own but tsk tsk tsk, they're wrong.

very true! but theres always gonna be a faster one out there. the point is to fix your lude and be happy with it not matter how fast or how it looks. coming from someone who doesnt have the h22, doesnt mean i dont want it, everyone has their own financial liberties....

Car looks pretty nice but doesn't maintain the "sleekness" of the preludes. I'd definitely get the 6th gen, especially if its inline-6 DOHC. Plus I love awd lol.

I totaly agree with you... I hate it when people use that exact same phrase:
It's an overweight underpowered car... What most of them don't know that the h22 holds up to a minimum of 195 hp stock...
Most of these times it is said by those silvia or skyline dudes that are all boost... Thats why my plans now are to do a N/A prelude so I can beat those nissans on normal kind of boost on the streets...

both concepts ive seen for 6th gen preludes are gay as hell... at least the other one looks kinda like a lude... this one is just gay... doesnt look anything like a prelude and i dont think were ever gonna get our prelude again :(

It's 2/3's Accord. People have no imagination.


...there is no market for a quasi-sports car in todays car market.
Toyota, Nissan & Honda have all killed off their quasi-sports cars:
Celica, 240sx & the Prelude, all that have been fighting each other since the 70's, 80's, 90's & 00's.
That's a 30+ year span.

Personally, i'd rather keep it discontinued.
