I'm looking for a 4 channel amp t run 2 6 1/2 at 100w rms and 2 5 1/4 at 100w rms also, do I need to match them with at amp that runs exatly 4 x 100w rms or anything a little below will push them nicely? which 4 channel amp is a good bang for the buck, I'm looking at a 1000w profile amp that gives up 80 rms x 4 channels very affordable at just $80 new, will this push them???

the profile amp would be just what your looking for i think... its a good price, my buddy has one and hasnt had a problem yet, and about 80w will definatly satisfy you im sure.

id say go for it!

$80 seems really cheap, but profile makes good amps, and you should be fine with 80w per. If you can find a more powerfull one for a little more money, it would be worth spending a little more.

In my professional opinion...PROFILE is crap. I mean think about it. 1000watts for $80. That is a sure sign of crap right there. You really don't need anything more than 50 - 75 watts for the door and rear speakers. Anything else is overkill.

I am running an Alpine 4 channel 75 by 4, and my car sounds great. It has absolutly no distortion, no matter how loud.

I have been doing stereo as a professional hobby for going on 20 years now. I have done some pretty stupid installs (based on client preference) and I have done some very amazing installs as well. The most difficult one I did was a Honda Element, with about $30,000 worth of Alpine F#1 Status. Head unit, speakers, nav. video, amps and subs. then about $5000 for labor. I had the car for about 2 months, and did all the work in my garage.

So just from my expereinces, I would stay away from Profile Amps and speakers. The way I see things when it comes to car audio, if you can get it at a flea market or swap meet....I will not put it in my car.

Get something better. Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood, Memphis, MTX. Those are just a few that I like to work with. But keep one thing in mind. You system is only as strong as its weakest link. So if you have high end speakers, and a low end amp or head unit....it will not perform to its peak potential.

Good luck, hope that helped.

if you have the money to spend and you want great quality sound then i would suggest the Autotek Mean Machine 100.4, its exactly what you want 100watts RMS at 4 ohms it will set you back about 6-7 bills but it is worth it, and if you want an amp for a sub then go with Hifonics, Autotek and Hifonics are made by the same company (Maxxsonics) but Autotek is componet amps mainly AB class amps and Hifonics is the D class amps they also make MB Quart and Crunch

like Jayknight said, your audio system is only as strong as its weakest link, so STAY AWAY FROM PROFILE!!!

You tell it brother!!

WHAT?!?! Yeah and you dont need more horsepower than enough get up to 0 mph! Nah just playin. Seriously tho Ive got a JL 300/4 bridged to my pair of Boston SPZs but they are like 2.something ohms and it doesn't like it. At full volume low impedance light comes on. Slam that puppy in the gfs car and im ordering up a Boston GT-28 its like 250w per channel at 4 ohms at 12.6v. Im gonna have more power to the front stage than my 2 JL 10w3v3s! How did the F1 system turn out? Heard lots about it but never really heard it. Saw it in the X5 in Louisville but if you dont have familiar music to compare to its tough to judge.
