Has anyone used a dsm turbo setup on a H22a? Does anyone know what dsm setup to use?

The manifold won't fit, so you'll need to buy one. I don't recommend using the DSM side mount intercooler -- even DSM owners get rid of them.

The only thing I could see you using is the turbo, but I have no idea which one has a T3 flange. I'm assuming its the Evo 16g, but I've never really cared that much about Mitsu turbos.

My advice is just to do what everyone else is doing, and piece one together. That way you will find tons of advice from people going down the same road.

manifold wont fit
some would argue that the turbo is too small for H22s. others love the amazing lack-of lag
downpipe most likely wont fit

but you can use the injectors

you could use a big 16g.... but I wouldn't do it. on a h22 I personally think they are too small. but that's my opinion. you'll definitely need a different manifold. I'd recommend south florida performances manifold for the H.

No mitsu turbos have T3 flanges. The Evo3 16G is a perfect turbo for a 2.2l engine. It will spool quick and make good power. I put over 350 to the wheels in my Talon at 19 psi. If you have a built motor, an Evo 3 16g will make over 400 whp, at least on a Mitsu. :-)

not to jack the thread but won't a dsm manifold fit on a h23 with a few hole modifications...

yep, i believe its only the lower hole on the far left of the manifold has to be redrilled, but other than that the exhaust ports and all the other studs line up perfectly.
thanks for keeping it in this thread too, instead of creating another one

okay, cool. I am in the process of heavy research and planning for a piece by piece turbo kit for my h23a1. I'm going to use the DSM 4g63 manifold with the 14b turbo and also use the DSM BOV...running stock internals, just looking for a little more power from stock, and i think the internal wastegate is set at 7 psi on the 14b???

So I did end up hijacking the thread...sorry.

You can use 16g for instant spool but on the top-end... turbo will be maxed out. best to is get t3/t0e or 60-1 .

I bet my CT26 would be perfect for a H22 or H23. Spools at 2600 to 2800 RPM and makes decent power.

Top end, the turbo will be maxed out. Think about it for once.
