18" rims on prelude

i recently traded my ap1 rims ( all fronts ) for 18" enkei rpo2 rims.
last weekend i went to a carcruise and race a NISSAN SE-R but my lude start to shake and lag. i was thinking my rims is jaz too big. what seems to be the problem guys :sadwavey: do i need to go for smaller rims like 17" or 16"

are you sure one of the wheels arent warped? bc the size of the rims shouldnt make your car shake and lag, i have 18's and mine doesnt do that.

yea, if it were the wheels/tires, it wouldnt be caused by the size.. like 1bad said 1 could be warped or even, a problem that i had, one(or more) of the tires has an uneven surface.. now thats unlikely, but possible

Do you have the right lugs? Do you have hub centric rings? And are the tires balanced?

Those would be the first thing I would check. OEM Honda Lugs are ball seat and aftermarket wheels are acorn style. Easy fix. And hub centric rings are $15 bucks, easy fix and balancing the tires.....If you know someone, maybe $20...if not $40

i had 18 by 8 on my lude before for about 1yr or so and they never shaked or anything like that

I had 18's on my lude and when I hit a bump the 18's f*cked up my fender by smashing into it... They also f*cked up my shocks so thats why I bought tha real things

i rollin with enkei's 18's right now. :eek:

smaller wheels will not change that problem because it does not have to do with the wheels. I know people who have 19's on their preludes and it does not do that. There is something else wrong you need to look for.
