One night my husband came home looking shaken up. I went out to see the prelude and the hood was completely smashed back. He explained that he fell asleep on the freeway and when he woke up, he was being dragged underneath a semi-truck! He fit under it perfectly but the hood didn't quite fit and was squished like an accordian. He put the car in reverse and pulled out (while being dragged) and the semi-truck drove on never knowing it was dragging a car! This all happened around 3 in the morning because dh works nights. Someone did witness this and they were laughing hysterically!
We had to get the hood replaced but it was never the same. The paint peeled off it before the rest of the prelude faded.
Ugh!

The biggest question I got is, "Is he up to date on his life insurance premiums?" I mean, he fell asleep and went under a semi. Hello? Why worry about the hood, when you should be worrying about his driving while asleep on the freeway. And lets compound the problem by sticking that bad boy in reverse in the middle of the freeway. But hey, its love right? Why fight it.

How did it not tear up the tranny or break a drive-axel putting it in reverse while going 65+ mph down the freeway?
