i've been asked this by several people in the past, so i thought i'd post it here for everyone.

when/if your headlights get this haze over it, that's oxidation. they look nasty, and actually reduce your overall light output. all you need is a couple of minutes and a bottle of mothers plastic polish to restore that shiny new look. since the headlights on my wife's accord needed polishing, i took a few pictures to show the difference of before and after while i was at it this morning. the plastic polish looks like this:

here's a before shot

this is after i did the driver's side, so you can see the difference

and after

are those headlights on the accord plastic? because usdm prelude have glass and I wonder how would it work on prelude headlights since they are glass.

the headlights on the accord are plastic. usdm prelude headlights are glass, but jdm prelude headlights are plastic. my jdm ones haven't oxidized like that yet... so don't know why her's is all messed up.

not always...I've used that stuff before and after wet sanding, and it works okay and I even buff it on....I tried using it before wetsanding, and it didn't make too much of a difference, so then I just wet sanded it, and it worked a little better, but doesn't seem to really last too long.

if they're plastic, give mother's a go.
